this thread seems like dejavu...
im usually with friends or my brothers... we play sports commentators...
im usually jim nanz and my buddy does a mean faldo...
we basically narrate the group in front of us... its hillarious if we get paired up with strangers... and its way better if the guys in front are duffing it...

+1, sometimes we play that you have to hit both of the tee markers on the next tee up as well... if you REALLY have a long wait.

Walk around angry, talk about how I'm just gonna hit into them on the next hole and never actually do it, pet a deer, chip balls at my buddy, do swing impressions, make a tepee type thing out of all my clubs (lean them all together), roll down a hill, you know, all the normal stuff.

This is the reason I learned to juggle! It kills time, entertains the others in the foursome, and help maintains some semblance of rythym when finally it is time to hit.

Hmmm. I know how to juggle, but never thought of passing the time by juggling golf clubs. I will give that a try next time I am waiting.

What I won't do (or let my partners do) is: goof off, talk loudly, make jokes and be obnoxious. Regardless how bored or mad we are waiting on that tee, someone nearby on the last green is concentrating on their game.

Nothing grinds my gears more than to see a back up ahead, see a group of loud mouthed, foul mouthed "weiners" waiting on the next tee box, making noise while I'm still trying to hole out behind them.

Me and my golf partners always grab a ball and our wedges and stand like 30 yards apart and hit flop/pitch shots back and forth. Can never practice that short game enough.

OK, it's a slow day - we all hate them. You are waiting on the tee, or waiting for the people in front to clear so you can hit a shot from the fairway. You may be waiting for 5 minutes or more.

Usually I just chat it up with my buddy, mainly talking golf. Play with my phone a little bit sometimes. Watch the group in front of me and wait for them to finish.

if i'm playing by myself, i clean the grooves of my wedges haha

Mostly I stand there and admire the grass, or If wild life is present I pester them (esp geese) Or I'll bounce balls off my driver or wedges, clean my cleats, or talk to people.
