So, let me get this straight. Two people tell you this thing is crap while the rest claim how much it helped.  (Yes, of course I am exaggerating).  I bought one some time ago. It definitely helped me make better contact. Having said that, I feel that I no longer need it, so in that respect, I agree with the ones saying it only serves its purpose. It does NOT rely on your having a steeper angle of attack with having your hands excessively forward . Can it be used incorrectly and give you good results with bad application? Yes. That is why I suggest you watch the site's video. It is over priced in my opinion (most t/a's are).  I also agree it really won't necessarily identify what fault(s) one has, but allows you to discover what good contact feels like. It does NOT replace the value of having a qualified instructor observe your swing.   I sold mine, but do not regret having purchased it.  Watch the video. The one from the inventor, not the one from Gary McCord.  No, I am not a shill for the inventor, I just personally trust him, but that's just me.

Since posting I realized that I'll be hitting into a net more than playing this winter and could benefit from seeing the ball dribble into the net rather than determine if the contact felt sub-standard.

ha ha, make  good contact and it won't "dribble".

Off turf or anything but the firmest of mats, and this club still lets you flip like crazy and get the ball airborne just fine.

We have a few downtown at our facility. We never use them. It offers a visual cue, but doesn't actually functionally require or force a change.

I don't recall anyone in this thread calling the product crap. I also don't recall anyone saying anything about excessive anything. However I'm only looking at the recent part of this conversation, so maybe I missed the source of your ire. Either way, you should learn to chillax a bit.

Yours in earnest, Jason.

Bingo.  If it dribbles, I'm doing something wrong, sorry if I was a bit ambiguous.  I probably should have mentioned that I did watch the site's video on it and it seems it could be useful.  Seems like there's a variety of opinion on it, but that pretty much goes for anything out there.  Sounds like I've opened a can of worms...

    • Day 134 (26 Apr 24) - played Minnesott today, worked with the mid-irons and approaches (especially the 7i).  Scoring was a little higher, but I was focused on making the needed adjustments to the swing to achieve desired distances.
    • I honestly believe if they play longer tees by 300-400 yards, closer to or over 7,000 yards, more rough, tougher greens, women's golf will become much more gripping.  BTW, if it weren't for Scottie killing it right now, men's golf isn't exactly compelling.
    • Day 542, April 26, 2024 A lesson no-show, no-called (he had the wrong time even though the last text was confirming the time… 😛), so I used 45 minutes or so of that time to get some good work in.
    • Yeah, that. It stands out… because it's so rare. And interest in Caitlin Clark will likely result in a very small bump to the WNBA or something… and then it will go back down to very low viewership numbers. Like it's always had. A small portion, yep. It doesn't help that she lost, either. Girls often don't even want to watch women playing sports. My daughter golfs… I watch more LPGA Tour golf than she does, and it's not even close. I watch more LPGA Tour golf than PGA Tour golf, even. She watches very little of either. It's just the way it is. Yes, it's a bit of a vicious cycle, but… how do you break it? If you invest a ton of money into broadcasting an LPGA Tour event, the same coverage you'd spend on a men's event… you'll lose a ton of money. It'd take decades to build up the interest. Even with interest in the PGA Tour declining.
