I have Golf Pride on my irons, a PCI on my 2H, and a Lamkin on my Driver.

Grip size/thickness makes the biggest difference for me. I have larger hands and really like the feel of midsize +1 tape wrap.

Awards, Achievements, and Accolades

I definitely think that the Multi-Compound from Golf Pride is the best grip on the market right now.

I have the Tour Velvet's on right now. The poor man's grip.

Golf pride new decade multi compound. Great grips! durable, great feel, great grip in any weather and not hard like what i'd experienced with full chords.

I had my old Spalding's (yeah, they're old) re gripped with Golf Pride tour wraps...and they're great. Love 'em.

Swing Happy My Friends!

All the golf pride models are great... i recommend using the one with two parts and just choosing your favorite color

I love these grips, too. Just put a midsized version on my hybrid and will be adding them to my woods as well.

I have a few multicompound grips that are on my driver, hybrid, and lob wedge - just random choice of what needed replacing. For the rest, they are pretty much all tour velvet corded grip. then my IOMIC for my putter :)

Mizuno MX200 4-PW S | Ping Tour W 50/12 X | Ping Tour W 58/TS X | A selection of putters, all 35.5 inches.

Thanks for all the input guys/gals. I ordered the Lamkin Crossline Jumbos. Golfsmith had overnight shipping for $8 which sweetened the deal. At $3.30 per grip, this will be a cheap test if nothing else. Not much to choose from in bigger grips. After playing around with measuring tape (actual tape roll up type) I found my new taped up (8 wraps) Callaway grips were 1/8" smaller than the Winn PCi 17 jumbo grips. Lots of play in my swing and this explains it, so I went with regular jumbos again. Looking forward to testing them out soon.

Happy Holidays!!

enjoy your new grips, Merry Christmas.

Nothing special for me, just the stock grips that comes with the clubs. I particularly love the Mizuno Golf Pride M-21 tour velvet that comes with the irons. They are midsize I think (they're a bit bigger in size than regular grips) and they are really nice and tacky.

I also like the Cleveland grip on my driver.

    • Rule 1.2b refers you to a section in the Committee Procedures (Section 5I) that helps explain what a Code of Conduct may (and may not) do.  Defining acceptable behavior (including smoking) and applying Stroke of DQ penalties are certainly within the Committee's authority. That Code of Conduct certainly should be available, either in written form or in a webpage accessible to all.  It may not show up on the "standard local rules" for an organization, the "hard card", as it sounds like its a policy of this particular golf course. Assuming that's the case it should show up on the Notice to Players for this particular event.  If you can't find it, ask someone, send an email, try to find out.   In summary, yes the Committee can DQ (or withdraw) a Player for smoking, even before or between rounds.  But its up to you to go from there, communication is the key here.

    • Hmm... I not sure I completely understand. If the course has a no smoking policy, then he shouldn't smoke at the course.  I'm assuming since you are aware of the policy, it must be written down somewhere.  As far as getting disqualified from the tournament, I would think that would be up to the committee. But it feels like it is within their power to disqualify, so why take the chance?
