Okay so I'll start with my last choke job. I was playing at Paradise knolls in Riverside, CA. (easy course). I was losing to my friend who I always beat. I was losing by 4 shots going into the 17th hole. Only to see him make a +4 on the 17th and I made a par. he was chipping from bunker to bunker so yup I caught up. Then on the 18th HOLE I'm on the tee and this hole is not very hard but I happen to slice it about 80 yards right and out of bounds. Extremely frustrated cause I knew that all I had to do was bogey or par to win the day. I ended up making a +2 and he took the win with a bogey. That's my choke of the year what's yours?

Two weeks ago I added it up on hole 16...5 over...went double-double...for 81. Smooth.

I was playing in a club tourney last weekened, where i was 3 or 4 over going into the 11th hole. I stuck my approach shot on 11 to about 2 feet, setting up tap in birdie i thought. I then proceeded to five putt... I played one more hole (which i bogeyed) then said "to hell with this" and went and watched the world cup match with my friends.. then the US choked as well.

This past weekend. Had a 2 man lowball tournament and we were sitting in 1st place going into the last day, leading by 4 shots.

Get on the 3rd hole and my partner is in his pocket. I've got a tricky 5 foot downhiller for par. Hit it WAAAYYY too hard. Leaves me 5 feet coming back up the hill. Pushed it. Double bogey...in lowball.

Luckily we still won our flight by two shots, but I felt horrible after that hole.

Before that, we were playing in a tournament and we were struggling on a par 5. He got behind a tree after his tee shot and I topped a 3 iron. He's in jail with his 3rd shot and I hit a 130yd gappy to 3.5 feet. We needed a big birdie because some teams were gaining on us and we had been falling apart on the back nine. He says "good birdie" before I go up to putt....pushed it right...didn't even hit the hole. Sickening.

I don't choked, if its a bad shot its a bad shot, it has nothing to do with nerves because i don't get nervous playing golf. If i was in a situation i am not accustomed to then maybe, but league play, don't get nervous.

Last night on the final hole, hit a beautiful drive then pull the bajeebus (that wasn't the choke) out of a 4i after watching my opponent put his second in pond. I have a shot under a tree and over the pond but lots of green to work with. I pull a hooded six, hit the tree and it comes back. I tried it again but got it too high and it hits the tree then a water pump fixture and bounces back the cart path about 50 yards. I take a PW to go over the tree (GW would have made the center of the green), but it clips a top branch and goes in the water. My opponent drops 3 and puts 4 in the pond, drops 5 and puts 6 in the pond, drops 7 and puts 8 on the front of the green with a VERY long putt. I drop (no more wind mills shoot through) and put 7 on with an 8' putt that I miss and tap in for 9. My opponent picks up for a 10 (max score for our league) and we halve the hole since I was giving him a stroke.

I'm sorry but that's funny! Makes my 4 putt triple to halve the hole in the match play final 3 years ago seem almost..... Nah! 4 putting when a 3 putt would win the hole is the worst choke job I have ever done.

There was one time I can remember feeling particularly nervous on the tee because the entire junior club was milling about and I was 16 but a visitor to the course. Fortunately I drove it straight down the middle and I can't say I've looked back since. Once you do it once, you have the balls for anything. I'm not immune to a bad hole but I don't choke. If I hit a bad shot I don't get flustered either.

About a week ago a friend was in town for 5 rounds of golf and two days watching the US Open in 6 days. On Monday, we had a round at Rustic Canyon, a fairly nice desert / links course just outside the LA area. It's a nice course, pretty wide open, but with areas of scrub between the holes, some of which you can play out of and some which are marked as environmentally sensitive areas. Not sure what was up, but other than hitting the fairway on the first hole and parring a couple holes toward the end of the front nine, I played a career round, and not in the good sense. I think it was 134 strokes in the end, with about a dozen OB (and 9 or 10 actually lost balls; fortunately only 5 of those were mine, the rest were balls we found while searching for mine). It was ugly, and none of my usual tricks to work around flaws were working. I could either slice or top the driver, or opt instead to chunk my 3W from the tee. If I didn't like that, I could either top, fat, or dead pull an iron off the tee. At around the 10th hole I just about quit, but my friend talked me out of it. I was oddly glad he did because I think I learned something from sucking it up and sticking it out... actually it ended on a high note when, after putting a tee shot in a spot where stroke and distance from the hazard was my best play, I hit a perfect drive, near-perfect 4I, then chipped on and sunk a par-turned-double bogey on a fairly difficult finishing hole. As awful as my score was, being able to pull out 4 good shots to end it with set my tone for the lowest differential of my life the next morning---36 fewer strokes on a more difficult course less than 24 hours later.

Last time was in match play elim, a month or so ago. I was up 4 with 7 to go and ended up going into 18 all square. I knocked my drive OB and that's all she wrote. I could have reached the green in 3 with 3 irons (par 5), but nooooooooooooooo............

Bout a month ago.....was +1 thru 14 and proceeded to go bogey, bogey, double, double. I wanted to kick myself in the a** and give myself brain damage (probably over some of yall's heads) but alas, it was a beautiful day so I survived.

I've never eagled a hole. End of last summer I had the perfect chance after booming a drive right down the fairway I pured my 3 wood and it rolled up to about 5 feet. You know the rest
