try the NXT Tour or NXT. I started using the Tour today and I really liked the way it felt no matter what kind of shot.

I've been using Noodle Easy Distance for about a month now. I lost a little distance compared to the Pro V1s I was using before, but they have a nice soft feel and are easier to control on the green. At $15 a dozen, they also cost far less than Pro V1s. Best of all (at least for you, based on your username), the company is owned by Taylormade.

Another budget option ($9.75 a dozen at Dick's) would be the Top Flight Gamer. I just started playing it and like it a lot.

Theres lots of great balls on the market. Personally, Im partial to Srixon and Bridgestone/Precept. For me they just work and have a feel that I like. Theres lots of other great brands out there though and its just something you will have to experiment with.

Srixons. anything srixon.

If I ever get happy with myself for finishing 12th or 15th, someone needs to put my clubs away and I'll take up tiddlywinks.

    • Day 39: did top golf for an hour with the family. It was fun but also not really like real golf at all. Also did some mirror work - working on the backswing stuff mostly.
    • Day 4, 1/2/26.  Played 18 today;  didn't get a chance to warm up (had I known the range was closed, I'd have hit balls at home first).  Played okay, 92 with three balls in the water.  It was raining for more than half the round and I didn't quite appreciate before today just how much I benefit from roll on both drives and approach shots.  I did not adapt well to this change until about hole 15, which is something I have to figure out.
    • Day 143 1-2 Arch wrist in downswing. Having a SLIGHT cup in the lead wrist at the top now. Only paused swings with some rehearsals before swinging at ball.  Used foam ball.
    • Day 459 - 2026-01-02 Had two guys on GEARS Hybrid, so I hopped on afterward (I'm going to do this a lot more often now). So… I've signed myself up for another month of backswing work in two ways: A little more extension of the trail elbow (got into the upper 90s) Less pelvis turn (low 50s).
    • Day 31 (2 Jan 26) - Usual Friday men’s group shootout - good day of shot making  as most shots were right on line to the target point.  Putter and green reads were solid with some great par saves and a really tricky birdie.
