With Hogan's disposition, can you really imagine anyone micromanaging his swing without getting told to "go %^&* yourself!"? That, and Ben drove his own car to tournaments.

Arnie needed a putting mentor. He should have won even more tournaments than he did.

Do you honestly think anybody did anything 24/7 back in the 50s and 60s? They had lives and weren't girlie douchebags - sorry, just venting about guys who are constantly text messaging and can't do anything without letting their posse what they're up to. And men on Twitter? Good lord, some guys are acting more and more like old women every day.

Or, someone could have tinkered with his swing when he was young and we would have never heard of him.

Or he would have been even better and he would have been the best player of all time. It could go either way, it's all speculative.

But it was that angry lash at the ball, followed by hitchin' up his trousers that made Arnie the King. Tom Weiskopf and Johnny Miller had some pretty swings, but Arnie has won twice as many majors as both of them put together.

Oh... and don't be too harsh on the tweeters. Dan Jenkins tweets.

Tiger's game went to the cellar under Haney's care and in Haney's hands. That is the bottom line. Not sure what that means, but that is the fact. Give Haney the credit when Tiger won, but not the responsibility when he hit low tide? dont think we can give Haney anything, unless we give Haney all of it..

Where do you come up with this stuff? Who is giving him credit for the wins, but not any for the losses? Doing that would be silly, and I dont recall anyone saying that. Sounds like you just made it up to try and desperately prove your point. Tigers own ego and lust ruined his game.

Geez Tiger won six majors with Haney...how could he have ruined his swing? I think the times tiger did struggle the worst was with his putting. His driving accuracy has never been great, but that is an achilles heel for long hitters.

It's very tough to coach someone with so much knowledge about the swing. People are saying that Tiger has disagreed with some of Haney's methods and techniques, not to mention that their personalities did not match. Haney refused to follow Tiger on many events and they fixed some swing flaws over the phone call in more than one occasions.

Blaming Haney for Tiger's swing flaws seems very ridiculous to me. Tiger ultimately decides what changes to make. When Tiger first came out on tour he was pretty wiry looking. He has bulked up over the years and muscles can do weird things once you are into your 30's. His swing used to be more upright and had some fluidity. Over the past few years his swing is looking flatter, more mechanical, and rigid. His swing to me looks more blueprinted than his own.

I watched Jack's winning era from 60's through the middle 80's, and he kept his swing plane pretty consistent well into his late 40's. I did notice that as he got older, he assisted his rotation by using the balls of his feet more than others, and even rotating off of his toes and right heel during his harder swings. His lower body was his rotation. He made little changes here and there but pretty much kept his own swing over the years.

Tiger's swing was already in a poor state, but Hank surely didn't make it any better. Tiger has been swinging less than ideal for a very long time, but Hank was not able to fix it, if he even tried. Tiger needs a swing coach that can see what he struggle with and fix it. Make some, from Tiger's perspective dramatic changes.

so does anyone remember David Duval? Now its Eldricks turn. Winning ways do not last forever, and some fans simply need to recognize this FACT.

Has David Duval won 14 majors, 70+ tournaments, and dominated the sport of golf since he was a child? Apples and oranges.

Can't you call him Tiger like everyone else...?

Duval has won 1 major and 13 regular tournaments. Tiger has won 14 majors, 71 PGA Tour events and 38 European Tour events. The only facts here are that you have no clue what is going to happen next year, and the year after that. After the ordeal he's been through, it's no big surprise it has affected his game. If Foley can fix his swing, Tiger will start winning again at some point.

The bulk of Nicklaus's wins came during a 12 year period. Guess how long Woods current winning ways have now lasted?
All things come to an end, I'm just not sure how, or if, some of his fans will accept this.

The problem is, I think they are looking at the wrong part of his game. Yes, he's spraying the ball, but finding the short grass hasn't always been his strong suit. I think it's a very real possibility that Woods will never fully put his trust in Foley, and that when there isn't a marked improvement, Woods will throw him under the bus.

From what I've seen lately, the real problem is with his short game. Going from one bunker to another, flying greens by twenty or thirty yards with a wedge and missing the hole by six inches from inside five feet is something that we've never seen Woods do before. I'd hazard a guess that he those are things that he hasn't seen himself do since he was playing junior golf.
