Actually, I was thinking he makes me cringe less than most non-actors . .but still makes me cringe a little. I live in a small town where every joker who owns a store or car lot stars in thier own commercials . .you want to see some stuff that will make you cringe?

And yeah - the golf channel plays the crap out of just about all thier commercials. I get so tired of certain lines - "Go and get you a tour striker. It really, (with small laugh)really, works" is one of my latest "fingers across the blackboard" deals with the golf channel. It used to be . .and kind of still is . .Michael Breed coming on every 5 freaking minutes for the tee time website. Dang Golf Channel . .I love you and I hate you!

Yeah, those bug me. The director really needs to do a better job with this guy, because he has a fine delivery, he's just not looking at the camera properly. It looks like perhaps his right eye wanders a tad, though it's hard to tell through the glasses. However, he really looks to me like he's reading off a cue card that's not quite close enough to the camera, so he is almost but not quite making eye contact with us. That drives me nuts.

I can tolerate any commercial that doesn't lead to my daughter asking what "erectile dysfunction" is.

actually, i think he has a "blew" eye. as in, "one blew this way, and the other blew that way".

He has a lazy eye and is reading off a card. the slumped posture/cocked head combination is a dead giveaway on both counts.

Ain't that the truth. It is a little sad when you see these ads over and over and then you realize that maybe you are in the target audience for the commercials if you are seeing them that often

Boy, there sure is alot of things popping up all over the place in those Cialus commercials. Who would ever think that handing someone a paint bucket would lead to thoughts of jumping their bones.

The Progressive Insurance commercials with the freaky pitchwoman bugs the hell out of me. I think she's on every channel on the satellite.

The same people who think that if you take Cialis you and your partner will end up in separate, free-standing bathtubs instead of . . .. I still can't figure that one out.

One of the first ones I saw of him I was like "dude, he isn't even looking at hte camera, wtf"

      Day 27 (7 Dec 25) - Got in a few swings with 9i and hard foam balls in backyard.  Setup weight fwd (rebuilt left foot really lets me feel the weight in a slightly painful way) - kept the backswing to around 9 o’clock focusing on contact and resulting divot pattern.  Like how the hard foam balls come off the face (almost like real balls in sound).  A good abbreviated session as I only able to hit about a dozen balls in the fading light.

      Not the part I was replying to: Handicaps did not go down much (like 0.14 on average IIRC?) when we went from 10/20*0.96 to 8/20. And a good chunk of that was from the +s.

      I think he meant in the UK. The old system was completely different from the new one. 10/20 x 0.96 vs 8/20 would really only impact very low handicaps I think. The 0.96 serves to increase differentials for plus differentials, where 8/20 vs 10/20 works to lower differentials for all. I don't know many plus golfers who would be upset that their index got lower. A lot of really good players don't even really keep their handicaps up-to-date. They're much more interested in their WAGR rankings which get them entries to certain events.
