Best woods EVER!

Title says it all. What is your all time favorite wood to hit. I could do fairly well with my ancient real wood driver until I split it in half one day. Metal woods were a luxury beyond the reach of many golfers at the time.

Current favorite until something beats it out is the Ping G10 4W. Perfect face, setup, and usable distance out on the course.

No Drivers need apply.

Nike SQ Dymo 4 Wood.

Lush piece of equipment....have also hit a Mizuno MP Titanium...and it was even better, but way out of my price range for a 4 wood.

Ping Eye 2 #3 & 5 woods w/ ZZ lite shafts. Real woods! Second favorite would be my #9 Callaway metal wood w/ graphite shaft.

I used to love my Callaway Steelhead Plus 3 wood. Till the shaft broke. I havent found anything that felt that good in a while.

Ping TiSi Tec 12* strong 3 wood. I took it out of my bag recently in favor of a 14* 3 wood but the strong 3's coming back. It's a killer on tight fairways and easy to hit off the deck on par 5s.

I vote got Ping G10 too> Ive hit over 100 shots with them and havent hit a bad one yet (in the store .. lol) I dont own one yet.

I really like my MacGregor NVG2 12.5* 3 metal. Best 3 metal I've ever owned.

I love my ~1996 TM Burner 5 wood. I don't carry a driver or 3wood so I usually tee off with this club and, very often, hit my second shot with it, too. I might only get about 175 yards out of it but it rarely lets me down.

One of my favorites was a Sounder 4-wood, with True Temper stiff steel shaft, which I played from 1976 until 1983. Sounder was a custom-club company from down in Florida; several old-timers (older than me) still recognize the name. Bought it from a club pro who was friends with the Sounder guys, but wanted longer shafted clubs.

Sounder woods had a locking pin which fastened the head into the shaft before the whipping thread went on. It had a small head - not much bigger than some of today's hybrids, and was super out of light rough or going into elevated greens. Also would pop a one-hopper into longer par 3s if swung properly.

Traded in the Sounder 3W - also a solid club - and 4W when I got MacGregor MT driver and woods to match my MT iron set. MT 3W was probably better, but the MT 4W didn't measure up to the Sounder.
