...the Kaiseki dinner in Kyoto...

I'm with you on that. Definitely near the top of my list...not cheap though!

Myself and a small group of investors raise Wagyu cattle, you may know it as Kobe beef, nothing compares to it. Far and away the best beef in the world.

Nice. I did have some very, very good steak one time in Boston somewhere.

Hard to say what I'd think was the best I've had; depends on context etc. Had a really, really good clam chowder in Boston too with some Sam Adams and it went down really, really well. Had a fantastic fast food fried in front of me (no idea what it was called!) involving eggs, bean sprouts, soy, scallions (as you'd call them!), some sort of pancake things and some pork (I think) amongst other bits and pieces washed down with some good beer in Hiroshima; cost about £3 as well. On the posh side of things, had a wonderful dégustation meal with wifey and my parents at this place . Chef is a really nice guy as well; no pretentious "celebrity chef" ego here...at least not on show.

Home Course: Wollaton Park GC, Nottingham, U.K.

The Chapel Bar on Hong Kong Island (on Yik Yam Street - Happy Valley section of HK Island, close to the HK Football Club facility). THE best Indian food ever consumed - hotter than hell, and teeming with flavor. Plus, lottsa cold beer - ate there twice during a business trip - would got back in a heartbeat.

New England seafood, of course. Includes Downeast Maine Lobster, Cape Code Littlenecks, good ole' fashioned clambake prepared right on the beach (in a sand pit). That with Sam Adams is the meal of the gods.

The best food I've ever had is something really good when I A.) wasn't expecting it b.) had never tried it before, or C.) was so hungry that I'd have eaten road kill grilled on a garbage fire.

My top 5 in random order.

1.) Some cut of steak with all the fixin's at in Poor Boys in Casper Wyoming (memory fuzzy from too many banquet beers and black russians)

2.) Greek platter at Amy's in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan (about 15 years ago - first lamb I'd ever had that didn't trigger my gag reflex - now I love it)

3.) Breakfast buffet at ABC Country in Red Deer, AB - their chicken cacciatore is so good - who knew that was a breakfast food!!

4.) Curried mangos and sticky rice at the Heritage Days festival in Edmonton (about 15 years ago- got on a serious south Asian kick after that now includes an ex gf - I often digress)

5.) whatever my wife is making for supper tonight

I do want to note the best nachos ever. They were at the Farmer Bar in Cutchogue, NY. Unfortunately, because the area is mostly a summer beach house town, they closed a few years ago and were only open a few years. But the nachos were amazing. They had HOMEMADE PULLED PORK, chili, jalapeños, beans, tortilla chips, and cheese (I probably forgot some stuff too) with sour cream, salsa, and guacamole on the side. The best ever, and I'm pretty sure it would take me a lot of trials to be able to make those myself.

Celebrated my mother-in-laws 70th birthday last night and we had chinese food. The smoked black bass, salted fried crab, peking duck skin on buns were all delicious along with the excellent service made the meal memorable.

    • Day 120 - Played 18; much better than yesterday. Miss right now is off the heel of the club, so I need to sort that out.
    • Today we played Pease Golf Course in Portsmouth, NH. Course was in great shape but my game didn't show up. I will say I pitched and chipped fairly well but almost everything else was very hit or miss. Cost myself a lot hitting an in play drive with pulling my approach shots maybe 85% of the time. Finally figured out I had been swaying most of the round. Only took me until 13 to figure it out. Used what felt like a much more centered turn and the ballstriking improved. 18 tomorrow using a 2 man scramble format. Just looking to contribute. Been a blast though.
    • Day 22: Hit balls with 7-iron using mevo+ to track dispersion. Was out for a long time after work; 86 balls but the first 50+ were 50% swings focusing on top of backswing feel and then just hitting the ball as a psychic reward. Finished with 20 balls close to full speed. Pretty happy with dispersion and also no horrendous misses. I’m chunking my priority piece out into two separate feels, first and more important is the position/balance at top of backswing which is what I was working on. Once I have that engrained I’ll move to transition part.
    • FWIW I never really had issues with the previous generation of Snells. But… I'm not sure I played them a ton, either.
    • I know Dean Snell designed the original Pro V along with a couple of other brands tour balls.  How exactly does the Snell ball have problems.  Did he change something in the design or is a manufacturing error since he cannot afford the unlimited R&D budgets of the big manufacturers to iron out flaws
