Yesterday on a 600 yard par 5 I was 2' from the pin in 3 (not common for me to be on in 3 on this hole) and missed the putt. It was difficult putt (down hill L to R) but was certainly makable. So I guess that qualifies as a sad par. I have to admit however it is difficult for me to be too sad over a par on this hole as it takes three good shots to get there and there isn't an easy putt on the green regardless of pin placement.

yesterday
i just about missed my drive on hole 4, over water
it skipped accross the water 5 times, bounced onto the hill down and into the fwy
i then proceeded to hit it to 4 feet and miss the bird for a par.....seriously......

good thing no one was watching
"My swing is homemade - but I have perfect flaws!" - Me

420 yard par 4, hit a horrible drive, hook it( im a lefty) short right, hit a tree, i have about 220 to the pin, pin is cut back right. I hit a horrible 3 iron, blade it so bad, slice it in front of the green. I now have 40 yards to the pin and i chip it to about 1 foot. WORST PAR EVER.

Hmmm, Mine was on a par 3 162 yard hole. I sliced my tee shot, then hit my 2nd shot into a greenside bunker. I then hit out from the sand, and watched it roll into the hole.

Sigh.... If only I hadn't sliced my tee shot...

Saddest thing is that I can keepadding to this thread.

Today, drove the ball 50 yards to the pin on a short 330 yard par 4.
Bladed it across the green, over a deep bunker, under a tree, across the next hole's tee box, over the cart path into the rough.
30 yard flop shot over all of it to about 2.5 feet, one putt, par.

C'mon guys! Any one-putt par is not sad. It sould have been worse! The three-putt pars make me sad. I have had between 10-20 three putt pars. They really suck!

Here we go again...

Par 5, big drive, 190 yard hybrid to green, rolls off 6 feet into rough. Chunk chip 2 feet. Go up and down for par. Dangit.

There are so many I can't even recall all of them. But sticking a wedge or iron and not making the putt. It just sucks.

Hit an average drive for me (~180 yards) on a par five, then hit a decent 5 wood. Ended up about 180 out, hit what turned out to be the best five iron I'd ever hit, rolled up to within 3 foot of the pin. Missed the birdie putt (my first birdie putt) but sunk the par (also first par putt). Would have much rather had that birdie!

Drove a green that's 260-270 protected by a huge tree in front of the green. Landed below the hole about 10-12 feet away and then 3 putted.

This past weekend, I hit the flag stick on a par three only to have the ball ricochet way across the green. I two putted from 50 something feet for par. I kept thinking if it had been flying an inch or two either way it would have hit and stuck close for a birdie.

On a 295 yd. par 4, I drove my first tee shot OB, re-teed and hit the next one into the greenside rough. Proceeded to chip-in to save par. I was about to give up because that was the 3rd ball that I had hooked out of bounds for the day.

To me thats an excellent par save. Nothing sad about that. I had one yesterday. 575 yard par 5. Bombed the drive. Hit 3 wood from fairway to just short of the green. Pitched to about 6 feet and 2 putted. Missed a good birdie oppourtunity on 2 well struck woods.

Always disappointing not sinking that birdie putt...assuming it's within 10 feet.

Waiting out the 2 feet of snow that just dropped on the course....

Not sure if this counts as saddest or happiest. 475 yd, par 5, dogleg right . Try to cut the dogleg and blow my drive 30 or 40 yards right into long grass. Reload. Successfully cut the dogleg and wind up in right rough. 4 iron to middle of green, leaving a 20-25 foot, downhill, right-to-left putt. Holed it.

    • #1. I rather lower my score by 3 instead of making an eagle... but a hole in one is a hole in one and I'm still didn't make one.
    • I'm available all of those weekends.   How do I vote?
    • Option one. Would like an ace even if it’s a worm burner. Have witnessed a couple of aces so would like to be on the other end.
    • OK - I think we should narrow down a weekend, and start there.  We're going to try to do this in June. I've created a Doodle poll where everyone can vote for the options that work for them.  Please include your username so I can track/post results. Doodle Doodle is the simplest way to schedule meetings with clients, colleagues, or friends. Find the best time for one-to-ones and team meetings with our user-friendly calendar tool. Get started today! (I only put in the Saturday dates, but assume the outing would include Friday - Sunday). Once we select a date that works for the most people, I'll start to line up courses and schedule and go from there.
    • Option #2 because I'd add the condition that it's in a tournament. Because that'd mean I'd break par in a tournament. And I already have a hole in one.
