I have read a nearly 2,000 post elsewhere about the PBS and never heard of anyone saying this. Are you sure you have it on the club in the right place?  Not being rude, just wondering if there is a logical reason why you would have this problem.

I've put it in the neutral position and from there moved it accordingly to accommodate a stronger grip. I find it uncomfortable to have my index wrap around it and have my thumb placed on the club properly.

I also took advantage of the BOGO offer. Mine arrived a week ago, but today was the first time I tried it.  I am amazed, I only used wiffle balls in the front yard but they flew straight where I aimed. With a tight pattern, it was shocking. I have to say my normal grip was letting the club shift in my right hand at the end of the backswing. Keeping pressure on the PBS required me to keep the right hand on the club fully for the entire swing and it feels terrible but it works. LOL.

Now I will keep it a secret from my playing partners until I can make the change a part of my game. Thanks Jeff and Erik.

It ain't bragging if you can do it.

just got mine a few days ago.  unfortunately the grip on the club i keep in my apartment for practice swings is to narrow for the PBS to get a good hold, but i'm looking forward to taking it out to the range.

Guys I would just like to add that I emailed Jeff about postage to Australia. He was very quick to respond, and even allowed the BOGO offer after the finish date. Its a real credit to Jeff and Erik, and others who run this site. Their customer service is second to none and makes the game so much more enjoyable.

Thanks guys, cant wait to get mine in the mail.

I'm going to subscribe to this thread and read over it when I have time.  Sounds neat and anything Erik highly recommends is good enough for me.

It's pretty easy to recommend something that costs $16 because it's very easy to "get your money's worth" out of something that costs $16!

How different is the PBS to Gary Wiren's The Key? I have The Key and must say it is excellent at teaching lag and how to control one's right wrist during the golf swing.

None

The only reason we are stating this, is because the order conformation states "You will receive a confirmation e-mail providing shipping details when your order is shipped.". So when we don't get an e-mail in over a week, we tend to want to know whats going on.

I hope it comes in by Friday so I can use it when I hit it this weekend.

In response to this; He contacted me immediately and I was informed of shipment and delivery date. It shipped the day he said and arrived a day early.

I've only used it in the back yard with some practice swings. I will be taking it to practice this Sunday. It does feel a bit awkward but it's a training aide.

Nope it still feels uncomfortable. The discomfort is not from the grip alignment but from the unit being too bulky for my hands.

I agree. Have also placed an order even though I'd like to know how it differs from The Key as the concept seems the same. So far, the only difference is the price - The Key cost me $50.

    • Probably since the golfer has to swing the club back and up. The hands have to move back and up. You can feel them go back and up just by turning the shoulders and bending the right arm, because it brings your hands towards your right shoulder.  The difference is if you maintain width or not. Less width means a shorter feeling swing path so the more you need to lift the arms. Being as someone who gets the right arm bend at 110+ degrees, it's 100% a timing issue. I am use to like a 1.5+ second backswing. It probably should be like 1 second at most. Half a second or more will feel like an eternity. I have had swings where I keep my right arm straighter and I am still trying to time the downswing based on the old tempo.  Ideally, for me, it is probably going to be a much quicker and shorter (in duration) backswing, while keeping the right elbow straighter. Which also means more hinging to get swing length without over swinging.

    • I'm currently recuperating from surgery, so no golf, but have been thinking about this quite a bit. This and the don't overbend the right arm thing. It's hard for me to even pose the position, so I'm not 100% sure, but I feel like it's impossible to have the right humerus along the shirt seam and not overbend your right arm, unless your hands are down near your hips. If the left arm is up at or above the shoulder plane and your right arm is bent less than 90 degrees, then your right humerus has to raise or your hands will get pulled apart. Your left hand can't reach your right hand unless either the right upper arm is up or the right arm is overbent. Is that right? If it is, then focusing on not overbending the right arm would force you to raise the humerus. And actually thinking further on it, if you do overbend your right arm, then you're basically forcing your upper arm down or forcing your left arm to bend. Since (for me at least) bending the left arm too much is not something I think I need to worry about, it means that the bend in the trail arm is really the driving force behind what happens to the right humerus.
    • I managed to knock off a 3, a 13, and a 15 a couple of weeks ago. The 3 was a 185 yard par 3 with a 6 iron to 12 feet. 13 was a 350 yard par 4, which was a 2 iron and a 9 iron to about a foot. 15 was a 560 yard par 5 with a driver in a bunker, 4 iron into the semi, gap wedge to 8 feet and a putt.
