I'll reiterate what others have said about Tiger, he's a pretty funny guy.

He also gave an interview to Good Morning America: http://abcnews.go.com/Entertainment/tiger-woods-season-life-game/story?id=13154430

I saw that last night, it was pretty good. I wouldn't say that Tiger's a funny guy, but at least occasionally he knows how to laugh at himself. He's also strikingly awkward in some social situations.

I watched Fallon last night also. I would agree about Tiger laughing at himself but at certain points last night he did seem out of place and awkward

I think the setting makes most people feel awkward. You have to make fun jokes, you are there to make people laugh, it will be sort of forced at times. I think Tiger fits better in a more informal setting. Kinda like the Tavistock Cup, Feherty got his list of jokes and desperately try to get something out of the players. Darren Clarke seems like a genuinely fun guy, he's relaxed and always in a good mood.

I have to say, Jimmy Fallon is one of the worst interviewers I have ever seen.  It confirms the fact that literally anybody can have a talk show.

Caveat - I didn't see the Fallon show, but I believe every word, voice inflection, facial expression, eyebrow movement, body language sign, etc., that comes out of Tiger is a cold, calculated move that is designed to promote 'Tiger, the Brand'.

I don't believe the guy has a sincere bone in his body.  His father created Tiger, the monster golfer.  But totally trashed Tiger, the human being.  JMHO

I liked Tigers "how long is this show" comment.. they played for a looong time to be a talkshow. I think Tiger is as good as you can expect in these situations, he's a golfer not a talkshow host. I'm buying in to the new Tiger and I respect him as a golfer and a man that's gone through the rough.

A comment on the side; I have never tried any of these types of games where your movement is reflected to the screen, can they give you a real feel? Can someone that has never played golf do just as good as a low hcp on their first couple of tries?

I agree about Tiger being calculating and his father creating the moster golfer. I'd like to think that there is some sincereity there though.

My impression, watching him last year was that he was more upset about being caught, then what he had done. I guess the old saying of, "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree" applies.

I watched it last night. Thought it was pretty good...as said by Engervik, he is a golfer, not a talk show personality, so he did as good as he could....better than I could lol

Considering the beating he's taken in the press I thought it was a good appearance for Tiger. Feherty at Tavistock was painful to watch.  He was trying way to hard to be funny, especially when he was with the dog and walking around the cars.

I've always had this impression of him but after everything I think it's less of being cold and calculated rather more of trying to always say the right thing. I just wish he would stop and just be himself even if he does throw his tantrums, curse, and have a stable of women. He would probably be less weird and I don't think he would really lose any fans.

    • Day 23: weird day, and only had a little bit of time. Just did mirror work again, working on where the elbow is in the downswing
    • I flipped over to this tonight and thoroughly enjoyed it. Anyone else watch? I picked it up during the golf relay event, but seeing these pros out having fun in alternative events was refreshing and entertaining. I’m sure it will be on in reruns in the next week or so, so I won’t spoil the outcome. Im curious what others thought of it. I’m recording it’s later airing to see the beginning.
    • Day 443 - 2025-12-17 Made a few swings in testing some things out at another academy. Might pop up on someone else's podcast in a few weeks.
    • Day 37 (17 Dec 25) - nine hole round with my good friend.  We got paired up with a couple of the men’s group regulars as part of their shootout.  Started off with a wonderful quad bogie and then a dbl on three to be six over thru three holes.  Game went 180° over the next five as I shot one under (including a chip in birdie on hole six and four up and down 1 putt pars) for a net finish of five over. What could have been a really tough nine became a solid finish due to staying in the moment and not checking out.  Great day in course management and keeping perspective .
    • Day 127 12-17 Backswing and flow practice. Took advantage of the 60 degeee weather(it was 20 degrees Sunday)
