I was at the galaxy this evening looking for a wedge to buy a buddy for his birthday and I came across the Adams Tom Watson series wedges.  These things are gorgeous with their classic lines and mirror finish.  Also, they're $50 a piece which would make it easy to get him a set.

Has anyone played these or have any opinions about them?  If people like them I may actually buy myself a set as well at that price.

My LW is from last year's version of these.  It's nice, as far as Lob Wedges go.  I'm sure if it were any other loft, I'd use it more often.  It is nice, in looks and in how it works.

Got two (SW and LW) in my bag right now.  As good or better than the other wedges I've got (Vokey, MT Pro, JAWS).

theyve worked well for me.  i now only use the LW out of the group, but the other two were good.  they just dont come with lots of options when it comes to lofts and bounce angles.

I played the previous version which seem to be similar and they were great when I had them. Definitely give them a go!

I actually stumbled across the deal of the day on rockbottomgolf.com and got the 3 wedge set for $59.99. They are now $99.99.

Played them for the first time this weekend and I was vastly impressed.

I bought the previous generation of the three-wedge set but have only retained the SW (56).  I didn't like the gap wedge, nor the LW, at all.  They both seemed to be a little too light for my tastes.  The SW has been excellent though.  I use it a lot from 60 yds in, and like it a  lot for chipping when I need some loft, but not the extreme of the LW.

Durable and well-designed. Also, the G, S, and L trio give you a good mix of bounce choices for different shots.

I played the previous version of these for several years in SW and LW for several years.  I really don't see much difference with my newer clubs, especially in the LW.  Their strength for me was in chipping, and partial shots, not quite as forgiving on full shots as my current set.

I saw the wedge set for around $100 at GolfClubs.com this weekend, might be something to check out. I played a friend of mine's and I would definitely say go for them and get at a present, great set of classic wedges.

I have a recent incarnation (2 years old now, I think) of the 56° sand wedge.  I like it a lot.

It has a very different feel than most of the other wedges (Vokey, CGxx, etc), much lighter swingweight.  That suits me fine, and particularly matched well with my old graphite-shafted irons.  I am less excited about it now, but for the price for a quality new wedge, it was a great deal.  Other $30ish single wedges are far less well built, IMO.
