There was a recent clip on golf central about guys on the hooters tour.  They've done half hour shows hear and there occasionally about the mini tours, but why can't they get maybe a half hour/hour show going once a week for these guys?  I'd love to watch and learn the stories of these guys, whether they be just out of college or long time dreamers, it'd be cool to see the talent level and drive that's really out on these mini tours.  There was a 3 page article in the most recent issue of GOLF magazine all about the various mini tours, and it was one of the best articles out of a magazine in a while.  I'm tired of swing instruction, swing instruction, barfly, bigbreak season 3, rush limbaugh, the hammer, every other annoying show on the golf channel, I want some real "reality" golf being shown!

I agree with you, I like that kind of reality TV. I've heard viewership is down from last year. I'd also like to see a show similar to one that Adam Barr did, like a insider equipment show.

Yea not sure whats going on there but, they for sure could use some new lineups and this idea would be great for a show.  They already ruined playing lesson with the pros.

Hybrids:  18 Callaway X Hot Pro
Irons: 4-GW Callaway Apex

Agreed. Don't really like Playing lessons anymore. Not to mention the Golf Fix is a bunch of repeated drills and ideas from a few weeks or months back. The Haney Project has not been entertaining since the first season personally because I just couldn't stand Rush Limbaugh. Not to mention all those commercials during golf broadcasts just encourage you to change the channel.

I would be interested in seeing the mini-tour reality show. What do you think of having a DIY show about how to install and assemble clubs? Just a thought.

Best Regards,
Ryan

Got my vote....Real reality.  I get Golfweek and evey issue has pages and pages of results of tournaments.  PGA, Champions, Nationwide, European, LPGA, eGolf, Hooters, Sunshine, Japan, Euro Challenge, Gateway, Adams, Ladies Futures, Ladies European, European Seniors......And every one of these events typically has a player or two that shoot some ridiculous numbers....A show that has an expose' on a player every week......Here's a for instance.  Tim Petrovic....He played at the club I was a member of.  He had talent.  A few of the members sponsored him.  He tried/tried/tried.....He went to Asia, Japan, Europe and minitours here there...My guess is he didn't put it all together till he was close to 30.  And then voila he wins a couple times on PGA and off he goes.  Stories like that.....And there are 100's of stories like that....That would grab some interest.

I'll tell you what I want to see is a big break to type show but with 10 handicappers or whatever. I think it would relate more to the common golfer plus imagine how up and down the show would be every week.

Or how about a big break show with strictly mini tour players?  The closest I can recall to that was big break mesquite years back, that was my favorite big break because all of the players were genuinely good.  Nitties and Every were both on there, and they're both consistent pga/nationwide players now.

I like the idea of doing some shows about mini-tour players, though I'm not sure if reality show is really the best way to go. One week they visit the Oven, the next week Scotty Cameron's audio, etc. That would be cool as long as the equipment companies were on board. I'd also like to see another season of "Fore Inventors Only." That was cool last time.

Instead of people on the Hooter's tour , why not just make it about Hooters?

You mean bring back the Natalie Gulbis show?

I mentioned this before:

Slow Playahs!

Take a typical fourslowsome on a muni and film them and show where they are slowing things down. Take experienced golfers and get them to play the slow group's shots to see how much faster play can be. Then teach the slowsome their mistakes and see if they can rectify. If they do better, give them a green stamp and a "ding!" Otherwise a red stamp and a "buzz!"

Now this I really want to see:

Pro Teacher Teachoff!

Take a 4 20 handicaps. Get various instructors from different schools of thought. Teach off, baby. See who is effective and who isn't. Obviously it's impossible to get four players who will progress the same so it won't be completely objective.

If GC uses any of these, I want some royalties, YO.

Steve

Kill slow play. Allow walking. Reduce ineffective golf instruction. Use environmentally friendly course maintenance.

I got a new one for Big Break, take like 10 LPGA club profesionals, and instead of putting them on like a resort or island, put 'em in a hotel, playing public nearby courses, Vegas for example would be good

I've thought about doing this before, except with sets of twins or triplets to make it more objective.

yeah i agree, i feel like i could be half of the guys playing in the Big Break shows...it would be way more interesting.  They deal with more pressure on a weekly basis than most of the current big break contestants.  I feel if it were comprised of mini tour players there would be less "choking"
