nice try ;)

Fossil Trace, Golden, Colorado.  This is from the 10th tee.  Fairway swings around the left side of the lake and the green is straight across.  It is driveable, but you had better hit the green if try.  Not much room for error short, long or right.

A typical bunker at Fossil Trace.

This is looking back up the hole over the 18th green on my home course, Foothills GC in SW Denver.

This is the native rough on my home course.

A couple of years ago. Arrowhead in Wheaton, IL.

Last year. Peninsula State Park, Ephraim,WI. One of the downhill holes. A short par 4.

This 1st one is from my actual home course, Scothurst Golf Club.  Not a bad course, especially at $720 a year for walk all you want during the week and after 2 on weekends.  This is actually from me standing near the green and shooting back towards the approach shot.  This is the #2 handicap hole.  Dogleg left to a landing area with swamp left, small pond and creek right.  Then what could be a long 2nd shot over water if you didn't take on the turn at all, and just hit straight out.  Very challenging hole for a right hander who can't reliably draw the ball.  Too much hook and you're in the swamp.

The rest of these were taken during a visit to World Tour in Myrtle Beach earlier in the year.

John Daly's Nemesis hole:

This was my approach shot earlier in that day to another hole.  Beautiful hole.

Chilling by the Swilcan Bridge on #18 replica of the Old Course at St. Andrews.

Nice Par 3 (160ish) over water, semi-island green.

I have a brand new home course for 2013.   It's pretty tough......

7,059yds 75.2CR 144 slope....

It has what I think is the hardest par 5 I have ever played...LOL...and that is no joke!!  This par5 kills me, and I play to a 0hc.

590yds of fun..................If hitting a tiny sliver of fairway from the tee surrounded by hazard isn't enough, the layup is even worse!!  You have 2 choices......  You can lay up on the left which is a tiny sliver of fairway......or lay up across the ravine to another thin sliver of fairway that leads the the green. It's a long hole, so you need a good tee shot to even think about laying up to the right.  The hole plays to 590yds.....so it's a long 2nd shot to a small target no matter where you go!  if your tee shot isn't perfect, this hole is a BRUTE.  Just sayin'........this is the hardest par5 I have ever played.

It's a real mother.........................(and par5s are supposed to be scoring holes)..........LOL

Wow, it's been awhile since we've played in Door County.  Great photo.  Last trip we took there was a prepaid fall venture for the pumpkin patch and golf.  There was snow on the putting greens!  We were already paid, so we braved the weather.  Ah, such is the life as a golfer who lives in Wisconsin -- until 'ya can get outta "dodge" for early spring golf in Myrtle Beach & Pawleys Island that is.  We do have some incredible courses in the Badger state though to be sure.  Just too bad they're limited to playing so few months in the year!  Whistling Straits kicked my butt.  Wow that is one tough course.  It was windy.  Very windy the day we played, but it was more than that.  It's just one big challenge.  Rank Blackwolf and Sentry World up there for their beauty and challenge, but still sensible enough for the non-pros to be able to par and even birdie a few!

From my Christmas holidays, Narooma GC on the south east coast of Australia

2nd hole , take it on if you dare !

3rd hole, short is bad long is bad left is bad too ,

I wonder how many balls are in the cave?
