Yeah, I gathered that ... but I was specifically referring to that tee shot.  ;)  I always wimp out and hit iron off that tee - course last time I birdied so I guess it's not THAT wimpy ;)

It isn't, one leg is on the edge.  Less weight on the edge of the green than you leaning on your putter to pick the ball out of the hole after your three putt.

I'd say that at least 2 legs ore on the green, and the base looks like it might be too.  In any case, it doesn't belong there.  If you can justify that, then I guess you don't get it.

Cool story. Yeah you are right I don't get it when my bag is on the fringe, I play alone every morning, and I fix 3 or 4 ball marks on every green that other golfers are not fixing. Sorry I don't give a flip that one stand leg is putting less weight in the green than most people waking or leaning on their putters over it. You will get over it though, it will be ok.

Don't get to mad there are alot of self righteous people on this forum that will make you feel uncomfortable. Cool pics though that par 5 looks pretty daunting. Threading a needle is an understatement.
Cool story. Appreciate that, I was more having fun with them than anything else for being so uptight about it.  Geez though people need to get a life and not be so bent out of shape about things like this.  It is "half" of 90% of everything that is wrong with the world. It is much of what is also wrong with golf and why more people won't play it.

Yeah the par 5 is a very tough hole, especially from the back.  And it only gets tighter as you turn the corner.

Hey I don't have pics but if you go to cross creek web site Temecula CA. Go to course layout and read all the thoughts on what Architects think when designing a course. Played there twice got an ace on 17 the second time. My friend got more excited than I did ...scratches head wonders why??? Its ok track...beautiful pics of some nice looking courses.

Got to play this course last month for my birthday. A real classic.  I chose a 3 wood to spite my caddie. Hit it into the water. Then took out my driver and knocked one 15 feet from the hole. That's my caddie with the beanie on giving me the stink eye.

    • Day 159 1-19 Flow drill while attempting to add arch in wrist on downswing. Not where it needs to be but felt good working on swing flow.
    • Day 1 (19 Jan 26) - after a week lay-off due to travels, felt great to get in some drills in the backyard today.  Started with lead arm only short pitches focused on squared face and light divot post ball.  Haven’t done this in a while and it showed, with some skulls and slices.  Settled into easy flighted balls - wrapped up with standard two handed swings.  Good restart to the daily drills.

    • Day 19, 1/19.  Finished work in time to spend 25 minutes hitting balls (hit 15) indoors, off a mat, into the net.  Usual focus.
    • Day 30 - 2026-01-19 Got 10 minutes in on the mat / net working on exagerrating movements I'm working on. And grip. Also worked with my friendly AI to summarize key negative tendencies I have so that I can build a personal checklist to follow. Will do more mirror work tonight.
