The thing that I love most about freedom of speech is that it works both ways.

I would like to believe that all those serving in military are fighting to keep this freedom no matter how much we disagree.  The best way to deal with it is not to take the bait and comment on it.

Just my 2 cents.  That is the first and last of my post on this thread.

1. The first amendment prohibits the government from abridging our right to (some) speech, not Erik.  Or in this case, other members of the TST.  The military fights for a lot of admirable reasons, but preventing members of TST from complaining about a troll is probably not even on the very long list of things we owe them thanks for.

2. Assuming some ideal of "free speech" that extended to private forums, is it your opinion that an ignoramus is protected but pointing out the ignorance is prohibited?

3. I do agree that ignoring it is more effective than criticizing it.

oh for cryin out loud.... this isn't a free speech issue. Of course this moron has a right too say and post whatever he wants..it's a free country and God Bless America...

but shit man, he is just a tasteless bafoon telling poor taste jokes about someone who tragically died and left a family behind.  Gimme a break, I would like to think our men and women in uniform are fighting for something more profound then this.

Maybe the site should collect taxes, seeing as how Yukari thinks we guarantee rights to our citizens or something.

BTW, we're clearly not a democracy, because if we were, I'd have been voted out of office a long time ago.

I keep telling you, if you want to do well in the straw polls you have to cater to the troll demographic.

Today's imponderable: If the Troll Party actually elected politicians to office, would we be able to tell a difference?

Long live the oligarchy!!!!!

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.

With freedom of speech comes the responsibility to use it wisely or risk someone stepping in and removing/curtailing that freedom. Those that hide behind the "fredom of speech" chant haven't recognised the responsiblity passed onto them by those who fought/fight for it.

As for the idiots who taunt people for the fun of it. You either need to get out more or need your meds adjusting.
