Here's one thing that could limit Tiger's chances this week: nobody's going to lose strokes by three-putting. The greens are too slow and don't have a lot of break in them. You can be aggressive, aim straight at the hole from long distances, and even if your speed AND line are off, you'll still practically have a tap-in. The advantage to leaving yourself below the holes goes away and the disadvantage to playing away from the holes goes away too because even from 50 feet you can judge the speed well enough and the ball stops quickly near the hole.

Three poor shots in a row for Tiger on the first hole. But in the last major he won, he made double bogey on the first hole in three out of the four rounds.

Brandt dropped his first shot of the tournament. Also, loving the live shot tracker thing. I remember they did that two years ago, 17 at St. Andrews. (I'm sure they did it last year, but none of the holes stand out.) They've got it at a few holes now.
