I normally play only a few courses multiple times a year, but this year I've started to play different courses around my area.

So my question is, how many different courses would you guys say you play during a normal year?

I play 80-100 rounds a year. Probably 80% are on 7 or 8 courses, but that still leaves another dozen courses played throughout the average year. Call it 20 different courses in a year.

I get bored playing the same course all of the time. Plus I'm very lucky, I have about 10 public courses about within a short drive

So far in 2012, 3 courses. My home course, the course where my daughter and I have passes, and the one where our company tournament was played. I used to be one of those guys who tried to play a different course every time, but I like being a member and knowing most of the other members. I typically only have time for a few holes on the way home so I'd be paying full prices for partial rounds at another course.

Mizuno MP600 driver, Cleveland '09 Launcher 3-wood, Callaway FTiz 18 degree hybrid, Cleveland TA1 3-9, Scratch SS8620 47, 53, 58, Cleveland Classic 2 mid-mallet, Bridgestone B330S, Sun Mountain four5.

Usually 7-8 different ones, I need a few more.

I'm slightly jealous of the number of times some of the people in warmer climates can golf in a year.

In Calgary we're lucky to have 3 and a half good months to golf so when Im busy and can only get out once a week, that gives me about a dozen rounds. Some summers I can get out twice a week and may end up getting around 25-30 rounds but thats about it. I play at least half of my golf at 1 course, and the rest of the golf is at places I'll play once a year. Usually between 7 - 10 different courses.

I do know people who get in 100 rounds around here in one summer but I don't have the luxury of playing every day.

I played @ 17 different courses over the past year. Some are on my scorecard link and a few are not (either didn't program them or they were scrambles). I didn't realize i played that many. I played about 60 times. :-D

I like to play different courses. I also travel on business. In the past 12 months I have played in Canada, Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Morroco, United Arab Emirates, Thailand, Vietnam and Japan. In this period I played over 50 courses I had not played previously.

I've played 4 different courses the last two weeks.  Since moving to Florida in December, I've probably played 25 different courses.  After playing the same course to death the last 14 years, I am really enjoying playing the variety of courses here.

The most difficult distance in golf is the six inches between your ears.

I belong to a private club so, from a finacial standpoint, it pays to play at home. If I play 65 times, 55-60 are at my course. I rarely play public courses unless I'm on a golf trip. I'm lucky enough to get to play some of the local private courses (Philly area) in team matches and with friends.

I could play more courses but I don't due to location. Simply can't fit it in with work. Most of the time I am out there after 5PM.

I play 100+ rounds per year and most are played at my home course, but I'll normally try to play a different course at least a couple of times a month, total about a dozen different courses.
