I rock all Puma for my shorts/pants/shirts and usually wear an orange Titleist hat. I play the VeIocity ball.

l get Rickie Fowler comments all the time. It's cool with me since I also went to Oklahoma State. It's usually when I wear something orange, however.

I have a few Adidas shirts that are nice too, but most of the time it's Puma.

I don’t care about matching and would actually prefer to wear a hat that has nothing to do with golf. For a while I stuck with Titleist hats because I like the visors with the magnet sown in (was playing Callaway balls at the time). Eventually Callaway came out with the same type of hat so I bought one of those (playing Titleist balls at the time). Just this week I decided I wanted a Flyers (Philly) hat so I bought a ball mark clip for that hat. Unfortunately with the Orange in the color scheme it’s not an every (golf) day hat.

The Puma Tech pants  (orange, green, blue specifically)  are great.....  but not made in my skinny/short size unfortunately.

I'm due for a new Titleist hat.

Yep, I love them. I'll be wearing my orange pants in Breckenridge tommorrow on the course with a navy blue puma shirt. Gotta rep the Broncos.

Thanks for the mention.  New styles with a more traditional look and all of the comfort will be available the end of October.

I typically wear either a Titleist hat or a Nike hat and I currently don't use a single item of Titleist gear. Used to play their balls exclusively but now I play TM balls. Oh well, it's almost time to replace my wedges and the Vokeys work well for me so maybe I won't be a poser anymore

Colors are always white or black because I have 2 pair of white AdiPure and 1 pair of black Tour 360's so the shoes match the hat.

i wear a white nike hat that has a mesh back and fits very well. i don't own any nike golf products or nike golf clothes. i would like to get a TM hat, but i didn't like the fit and they don't have fitted hats in the style i want at the stores i go to.

the whole having to match your apparel with your club brands is absolutely ridiculous unless that company is paying you to do so. if not, then who the hell cares? (besides the one guy on here.)

i learned a long time ago that judging people by clothes and, in this conversation clubs, is no way to go through life.

a guy who dresses nice and sucks may just like to dress nice and isn't trying to convince anyone he's good or "posing". i mean what's the point of talking about how good you are or trying to use your clothes to convey your skill in a game where 1-3 people are usually going to watch you actually play? i don't think people honestly think like that when they choose a shirt before going out to play.

I am a fan of fitted mesh hats. I find them comfortable and breathable. So I own a Nike, Titleist, and Callaway hat and I don't own a single Nike or Callaway club. I find the mesh on the Callaway and Nike hats most comfortable.

Same for me, so I have found a couple of hats from Adidas and Mizuno that are made of the high tech materials they use for clothes.  I've found these hats to be much better than the cotton hats of old, they don't show the sweat like the old ones.

I feel slightly like a poser if I'm wearing Callaway Golf wear but playing with Taylormade clubs and Bridgestone balls so I typically wear what brand of stuff I have. I wouldn't go as far as saying "regardless of style" because I always manage to find something I like with the brand name I want on it.

Mostly no-logo hats: A white, Hogan style cap, or a tan, civilianized version of the broad-brimmed military bush hat. I especially like the bush hat to keep the sun off my neck in peak summer heat.

I have a Mizuno toque (knit cap for non-Canadian) but other than that I've never even seen a Mizuno cap or visor worth wearing. Most of the caps at GolfTown right now are so ugly I don't care which logo they have. I wear caps from the team store or snowboard shop. Used to wear North Face ones, but now they're only selling those little shallow runner style ones that I detest.

  • 5 months later...

I tend to wear hats with just the logo and no mention of the company.  I have a mizuno hat with just the mizuno running bird logo on it cuz I hate the hats the have MIZUNO in giant lettering......

I have a cap from a scuba liveaboard I like.

Golf fashion is dumb, IMO.  Golf functionality (wind pants, waterproof shoes, or shoes with grips, etc) makes a lot of sense though.

So find me a comfy hat that's keeps rain off my face and has spots for tees, pencil and a ball marker and divot fixer - I'm sold.

My wife bought me three "golf shirts" - she's so proud.  One of them is so shiny and goofy, I just don't have the heart to tell her though.  I'm sure I'll see it's brother sometime on a senior at a private club somewhere - but I hope his hat matches his white belt and shoes.... ; )

And Michael Jordan's cargo shorts

    • I honestly believe if they play longer tees by 300-400 yards, closer to or over 7,000 yards, more rough, tougher greens, women's golf will become much more gripping.  BTW, if it weren't for Scottie killing it right now, men's golf isn't exactly compelling.
    • Day 542, April 26, 2024 A lesson no-show, no-called (he had the wrong time even though the last text was confirming the time… 😛), so I used 45 minutes or so of that time to get some good work in.
    • Yeah, that. It stands out… because it's so rare. And interest in Caitlin Clark will likely result in a very small bump to the WNBA or something… and then it will go back down to very low viewership numbers. Like it's always had. A small portion, yep. It doesn't help that she lost, either. Girls often don't even want to watch women playing sports. My daughter golfs… I watch more LPGA Tour golf than she does, and it's not even close. I watch more LPGA Tour golf than PGA Tour golf, even. She watches very little of either. It's just the way it is. Yes, it's a bit of a vicious cycle, but… how do you break it? If you invest a ton of money into broadcasting an LPGA Tour event, the same coverage you'd spend on a men's event… you'll lose a ton of money. It'd take decades to build up the interest. Even with interest in the PGA Tour declining.
    • Oh yea, now I remember reading about you on TMZ!
