I still have $75 credit at GG and just peeked to see what else they have.  Only brown PHX in my size.  They have the grey/white/red Sensei but no skis (size 13). ;)

These are the most expensive golf shoes I've bought yet, so I'd like to make them last.  What do you guys do to keep them clean?

Nice, I actually like the white and green ones as well.   I would like to get a pair of black sensei shoes as well for at work eventually.  I have been wondering about keeping them clean as well so maybe someone can let us know?  Also does anyone treat the leather or anything like that for longevity?

I just got a pair of the Sensei. Very roomy in toes. Size was dead on for me at 12. Much more comfortable and I can wear them anywhere.

I bought one of these shoe cleaning kits earlier this Summer for the exact reason... To try and make my golf shoes last longer.

Since I picked up this quick clean kit, I've been using it to wipe down my white Protos up before every round.  They look brand new - and I've played dozens of rounds in them.  I'd highly recommend the Quick Care kit, or something like it to ensure you're getting the most out of your True's.

I have a slight bit of separation starting to happen in the joint between the the sole and the uppers. So far no water penetration so it may just be cosmetic but has anyone else experienced this? If I think of it I'll post a pic but I imagine y'all get what I'm saying.

Yours in earnest, Jason.

Yeah, I'm thinking of going that route but at the same time if it's just cosmetic I don't really care but I suppose it'll just get worse (or is that worst?).

How new are yours?  My original ones did that(they leaked as well), but my protos have been fine so far.

2 yr warranty - so I'd pick up on it if you have separation.

I think this was an early issue with the Tours/Stealths .... so I'd call.

So I thought I'd follow up on this. I spoke with JD at TRUEs' customer service and all I can say is their customer service is A1. We exchanged 2-3 emails and I pick up my new pair today at Golftown. He even told me that if I have any hassles at Golftown, which I didn't, to email him and he would take care of it. Really great company!

Here's some pics of what I was dealing with, so if anyone else has this issue...

    • Day 11: did mirror work for a while. Worked on the same stuff.
    • I'm not sure you're calculating the number of strokes you would need to give correctly. The way I figure it, a 6.9 index golfer playing from tees that are rated 70.8/126 would have a course handicap of 6. A 20-index golfer playing from tees that are rated 64/106 would have a course handicap of 11. Therefore, based on the example above, assuming this is the same golf course and these index & slope numbers are based on the different tees, you should only have to give 5 strokes (or one stroke on the five most difficult holes if match play) not 6. Regardless, I get your point...the average golfer has no understanding of how the system works and trying to explain it to people, who haven't bothered to read the documentation provided by either the USGA or the R&A, is hopeless. In any case, I think the WHS as it currently is, does the best job possible of leveling the playing field and I think most golfers (obviously, based on the back & forth on this thread, not all golfers) at least comprehend that.
    • Day 115 12-5 Skills work tonight. Mostly just trying to be more aware of the shaft and where it's at. Hit foam golf balls.
    • Day 25 (5 Dec 25) - total rain day, worked on tempo and distance control.
    • Yes it's true in a large sample like a tournament a bunch of 20 handicaps shouldn't get 13 strokes more than you. One of them will have a day and win. But two on one, the 7 handicap is going to cover those 13 strokes the vast majority of the time. 20 handicaps are shit players. With super high variance and a very asymmetrical distribution of scores. Yes they shoot 85 every once in a while. But they shoot 110 way more often. A 7 handicap's equivalent is shooting 74 every once in a while but... 86 way more often?
