Watch the masters check out blixts caddie he is wearing a gratefuldead under shirt that dude is stroked best way to play golf in my opinion

Fluff is a big Dead Head too.

Here he is wearing a Jerry Garcia shirt:

and here with a VW Dead shirt under his monkey suit.

Hard to say for certain what he's wearing under the coveralls here but, I'll bet you a dime bag it's not a Justin Beiber shirt.

Actually, it looks like the same shirt from the first pic. In true Dead Head form, he doesn't change his clothes a lot! :-P

Yours in earnest, Jason.

Can you say for 100% certainty that that is Fluff?

I think he was sick that week and Tiger, in an emergency, got David Crosby to caddie in his place.

Common mistake:

Crosby would caddie just like Snoop Dogg in Starsky&Hutch;,:

>You know a lot about golf.

>I know even more about grass.

Miguel is high on life (and Rioja).

Friend of mine told a funny story about Jimenez warming up one morning on the range at the Spanish course he used to teach at. He rocks up at the academy beforehand to say hello and says it's fine if the assistants want to come to the range to video him or whatever. When they get there, he's drinking red wine straight from the bottle and can't hit two consecutive shots anywhere near the same direction. Block slices, pull hooks right off the property. The guys come back and say holy shit this dude is drunk off his ass and is going to shoot 100 today in the pro-am for sure. Of course he goes out an posts a ho-hum 65. No one knows how he does it ...

I'm reminded a little bit of the story (well one of many) about Brian Barnes

In the final round of the 1981 Haig Whisky Tournament Players Championship, a tournament sponsor slipped Barnes a six-pack at the turn, (would this not be considered outside assistance?) and Barnes drained it while going eagle-birdie-birdie-birdie, then driving the par-4 17th green and tapping in for a second eagle in eight holes. He shot 28 on the back nine.

Well as I recall he was clubhouse leader but was expected to be overhauled, and duly took up his position and sat drinking for another two hours while the other players finished. Periodically he would stick a thumb up from the window as the camera had by now caught up with him, and realised he was on the bevvy in full public view. Gradually the field fell away and Barnes continued to watch the closing holes on the clubhouse television which in turn, was watching him drinking heavily, through the window. When he wound up tied for first, he staggered out and somehow won a four-hole playoff. (Part of his prize was six cases of whisky.)

    • I was laid off two months ago. Good severance, a 90 day layoff announcement regulation the company wanted to avoid so technically I'm still on the payroll for a few weeks, and a bunch of banked PTO, so I'm in a great spot and working on a startup idea I've been batting around with my brother for a while. That means I've got time to get to the gym! I'm at like 60-75 minutes 5x a week of strength training, and either a run or a bunch of time playing soccer or tennis with my daughter on the weekends. Stronger than I've been in forever. Up ~5 pounds of (noticeable!) muscle!
    • Do you have examples of exceptional scores versus their established handicap indexes?

    • A bit of background. The Southern California Golf Association (SCGA) runs an annual event known as "Team Play." It is a wildly popular match play competition where Men's Clubs across the region put together teams of 20+ golfers together to compete against other clubs in a 16 vs. 16 match. In any given year, approximately 80-100 clubs will participate. Each club is grouped into "pods" of 4, and will play 6 total matches - one home and one away match against the other 3 clubs. The winning club from each pod advances to the Team Play Playoffs - a single elimination format - until a winner is crowned.  Antelope Valley Country Club just advanced to the championship match for the 3rd consecutive year. They won the championship in both 2022 and 2023.  Based on my review of the match history from the past 3 years (linked below), they have won 21 consecutive team matches. Keep in mind, these are handicapped matches, so this is not just a case where a group of sticks bands together to dominate the poor amateurs other SoCal clubs. Even if these guys are grinders who never quit, play their best under pressure and routinely putt the lights out, the law of averages still say that a streak of that nature is mathematically impossible.  Is there any plausible explanation beyond institutionalized sandbagging throughout the club?
