I got a belt clip at Roger Dunn for like $10. It has a ball mark repair tool (I finally learned how to properly repair these without leaving dirt marks in the green), room for two tees, and a magnetic coin for marking the ball. The coin even has an arrow on it to point towards where the ball is, I guess, so if for some reason you don't mark it on the line behind the ball from the hole, you can just point to where the ball is. I haven't used it that way, dunno if such is even legal.

Well, I am currently using little neon plastic ball markers because my little sister bought me a package of them for Christmas. Otherwise I use a coin. If I do not have one of those, I'll use a leaf or whatever is laying around on the green.

I always fail to remember that there is a button on my glove that can be used as a ball marker.

Gotta love the new Foot Joy SofJoy glove with the magnetic strip and ball marker. It is easier to use than the snap ones and harder to lose. It's the size of a quarter and pops right on the glove where the logo is.

I always forget that it's there too, but it's a great idea.

A foreign coin, preferably one of the ones that's both gold and silver.

Can't believe you said this! I have two Italian Lira coins, silver with a gold center. For some reason, I just love them as markers. Big, not too big, unique....I feel "wrong" if I forget them!

Nothing in the swing is done at the expense of balance.

Definitely legal to use it as a way to remember where exactly your ball was. It would be illegal to use it as an external alignment guide.

I always have three quarters and my pitchfork in my left pocket. Whichever quarter I grab, that's the one I use.

i use a nickel or quarter. though, i'm quite often the farthest away from the hole and don't have to mark my ball.

I had been using a Bicentennial quarter,

Were you born in 1976? I was, that's why I use those quarters.

I constantly rotate my mark. Right now I use a $25 poker chip from The Commerce Casino. It's a special one stamped with a "The Year of the Dragon" (which, also, I was born under.) graphic on one side. I have foreign coins in my bag too. I got a cool one from the Cayman Islands. I gotta get my hands on a 500yen coin. The 50yen coin is pretty cool too, it's got a hole in the middle. I also have a couple non-monetary value coins. This cool brass one with a horseshoe and star on it. And I'll use range tokens I saved from the course I worked on in Japan.

No, I was born in '71, but my grandpa got me started saving bicentennial quarters when I was a kid and I've never stopped. The two that are in my bag are the only two I've come across since I started golfing last August. They're getting scarce nowadays.

For a while I used only nickels from change I kept in my bag. I bought a Divvy Tool with a Georgia Tech ball marker (my alma mater) and used that for a while. A couple of weeks ago I had two custom markers made for some friends in my squadron as a gift. These were from the Divvy Tool makers and they turned out to be awesome! Now I rotate between the GA Tech and my squadron markers.
