Love how the ball is running. This is classic Open Championship golf.

He may be a southerner with silly clothes who supports Arsenal, but I was enjoying Ian Poulter's earlier holes. I really hope he stays in contention. Would love to see him win an Open.

Considering Rory appears to be more comfortable putting into bunkers than actually advancing the ball to the hole, maybe you should lend him a few tips.

I may or may not have loaned Rory my chipping game.

And Philly 3-jacks the 18th for the 2nd round in a row. Again from maybe 20-feet.

Tiger hits opening t ball in the tether left. Hits a provisional and it's even further left. WOW...

From what I saw, the second one was left, but definitely not further left than the first. The first one was only 10ish yards from the OB fence.

LMAO!! Tweet from Ian Poulter: The guys this afternoon will struggle with a few pin positions. 8th hole is a joke, 18th needs a windmill and clown face.

All the players need to get over it. Everyone has to play them, and its the Open. You should expect the unexpected.

Zach Johnson said he was "shocked" by some of the pin positions, but had nothing really bad to say. Of course, he played pretty well, so he didn't have much room to gripe.

If ZJ was E or +1, he would have had a lot to say. It's easy to say nothing when all is well, like you said.

I got a bit of a giggle out of that, because of all the talk about how great he was going to play from Golf Channel.

Phil had some strong comments as well.  By the weekend I figure it will be forgotten.  Apparently 8 and 18 are pretty tough, though.

Westwood found some trouble but finally made a nice bogey putt on 7. If he putts well, he'll be in contention I think... but we all know where his putting has been for a while now.
