I didn't like Peyton early on because he was not my team's QB.  But after Hurricane Katrina, when he and his brother got relief to New Orleans way faster than the State of LA or FEMA, I changed heart.  He is an excellent QB that sees the field as good as any ever.  He'll be playing against his friend and equal tomorrow, Brady.  We should enjoy this now, because we may not see a pair like them for a long time.   The only years they did not play against each other were the injury years.  Every game has been epic for the fans of the teams they play for.

Maybe Kaepernick and Wilson will become that pair.  We'll have to wait and see.

I just want to add that there are other terrific QBs in the league IMO, Rogers, Brees, Big Ben when healthy.  But they don't have that rival they play every year that is not in their division.  I would love to see Rogers/Brees as a routine.  So far Kaepernick/Rogers has been fun too.

Well, I have (so much so in the last couple of years that it is the source of a current nickname of mine ;)) and, believe it or not, I actually prefer their pizza to papa johns. It's certainly not great, but its ok. :)

That's because practically all pizza is better than Papa Johns.

Denver 34 New England 27 San Francisco 21 Seattle 31 Actually I have absolutely no clue but what the Hell. Don't have a dog in the hunt in either game but during the games will probably develop a favorite. More than likely I'll end up wanting New England to win when I have a flashbacks of John Hannah being my favorite player for a long time, and Manning conducting the Tennesse band in Rocky Top.

Go Niners!! I grew up in Turlock, Kap's hometown, and was his center when we were in high school. He's worked his butt off since high school and I know he is dialed in and ready to play at the CLink!

Yes, it is a shame you couldn't see you old friend kissing his biceps tonight.

Well, that biceps kiss would have meant a game-winning touchdown, so yes, you are correct.

Sherman is a douche.

Seriously ... that was a great play to end a fantastic game ... but not exactly a "classy" way to celebrate it.

Should be a good Super Bowl.  (Of course, with the 4 teams that were left before today, that would have been true no matter who won)

-------------------------

I can't take credit for this (read it in Bill Simmons' column Friday) but do you guys realize that the two teams playing in the Super Bowl represent the two states that just legalized marijuana?

Coincidence????

He and his readers came up with a couple good nicknames for this upcoming game, with my favorite being the ... Smoke-a-Bowl!!!!

    • I agree.  I think I'll trounce them at Monology tonight. ... Bwahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!
    • I’ve never really let my kids win at anything deliberately. I mostly just played games a little bit more casually just to try to match their ability to strategize, but if they won it wasn’t because I threw the game or anything. I don’t feel like my kids need to or should win all the time. That’s not how life works, and the sooner they learn that, the better off they will be.
    • That’s going to be a no from me. Why should I pay extra for new technology just because of their R&D cost? I doubt they’re going to be transformative. I’ll stick with the old tech if it’s cheaper.
    • I almost did a coffee spit take.  Well played sir. Well played.
    • My whole family likes Mille Bourne. We've done family tournaments. I've always enjoyed Euchre too. My company has an annual Euchre tournament.  My kids like Monopoly. I like it too, but my wife makes me let the kids win.  ... BTW - How old do your kids have to be before you no longer have to let them win at Monopoly? Cuz, I keep suggesting to my wife that I should be allowed to smoke them by now.  Our family also plays Blokus Trigon a lot, a bunch of Spy Alley and a bit of Azul.
