Is there a non-paypal option? I have/had a paypal account but it is out of date and I don't want to reconnect it to our checking. Otherwise I'll just wait until May.

Not really no. We hadn't even planned on offering PayPal except enough people asked… in May the price will be higher but not a ton. $20 to $25 shipped.
