AND IT'S GONNA SEND US BACK INTO THE STONE AGE !!!

Interesting twist on the original story. Looks like there are multiple monsters (quick shot of some flying thing) and radioactivity didn't create them, but nukes were used to try and destroy them. What the hell is Juliet Binoche doing in this movie? I like it.

I really liked the director's first movie, Monsters, tap-in birdie:

Looking forward to this one

I'm not. I hate movies like that. Just tell me a story - don't do all that stupid visual shit.

I'm sure the comic book nerds (hi @mvmac ) like them, though. :D

I don't typically fall into this category - no desire to see that movie, not a fan of x-men, still haven't seen the latest Batman movie or Spider Man movie, however ...

Am a big fan of the Avengers, sooooooo this is my most anticipated of the year:

The Nolan Batman movies are the only comic book movies I've ever seen, and even that was because of peer pressure. Not a huge superhero fan. It is, however, very fun to talk like Christian Bale's Batman. SWEAR TO ME!!!

Hi! :-)

Yeah movies like Sin City and 300 (also a comic) are very stylized and can turn some people off. I think the story is good ;-) It's almost like western meets detective noir.

Am a big fan of the Avengers, sooooooo this is my most anticipated of the year:

I'm hearing good things about it, I'm definitely expecting it to be better than the first one. Origin movies, for the most part, kind of suck.

Funny, cuz we (wife, myself, son) loved the first one!  I was never a comic book guy.  (Baseball cards were my vice as a kid)  But when my wife and I went to see out first "adult" movie after babies, we saw the Avengers, and just loved it.  So then we went back and watched Thor and Captain America and loved both of those.  I'd already seen and loved the first 2 Ironmans too, so I just kind of realized that the Avengers were the comic book group that I liked.  By the way, I should be watching Thor 2 right now, but stupid Target was sold out of the blu-ray. And, of course, now I'm pumped for the next Captain America movie, the next Avengers movie, the possible Nick Fury movie, Ironman 4, etc, etc. :)

I even went so far as to read (thanks to my co-workers who were comic book kids) the Thanos comic books. :)

I love different visual styles. I am a huge fan of the first Sin City. Though surprisingly I though that style worked much better with Sin City than it did for 300. That and Elijah Wood is creepy has hell.

Sadly I am looking forward to "How to Train your Dragon 2". The first one got too me. One of my more favorite animated movies.

How about Edge of Tomorrow ? It looks like it's Independence Day meets Groundhog Day . I'm also looking forward to the Frank Miller movies and am oddly curious about the new Ninja Turtles movie. I've been told I should see the most recent Planet of the Apes movie in anticipation of the new one this summer.

Love sci fi. Interstellar and Transcendence look interesting. I watch some comic book based movies, but, boy, I'm really tired of them, for the past 10 years now. Enough comic book movies and this is coming from a guy who read and collected them as a kid, somewhere in my parents' house is a big box of them I haven't looked at in decades.

Plus Aronofsky's Noah:

    • Wordle 1,726 3/6* 🟦🟧⬛⬛🟦 ⬛🟧🟦⬛🟦 🟧🟧🟧🟧🟧 I was the only person who made par or worse yesterday!
    • Day 105: mirror work today. Focused on not looping my hands at the top of the swing. Straight down.
    • Still working on the backswing a bit. Hand still gets away from the body, out towards the ball, and at A2 the club wants to roll over and get flat at A3. It's just very difficult to shallow from that position like I want. Which makes my downswing work impossible.  Backswing I have been playing around with the left leg straightening to start the backswing. It's like, a slight shove of the hips right with the left leg. Then just keep the flex in the right knee as I turn into it. I kind of like it. I never had a good swing trigger. It helps keep my left knee extended.  Yea, definitely feeling the hand path is traveling down the feet line, and straight up. A little bit of wrist rotation, and a lot more hinge sooner in the right wrist and elbow. I am trying to get the feeling that the arm hinging up then is the cause for the right shoulder to retract to finish the backswing. Club feels much more vertical at A3. I am trying to have my wrist fully hinged by then.  Feel the club and arms stop at A3.5 (my A4). If my arm collapses late, then I turn into that and I am pretty much screwed. The club and arms kind of have a floaty feeling, where they are just suspended in air for a bit, then drop.  Downswing I have been trying to think of a good visual for this mentally. I like the idea of my hands taking a wide arc to my right pocket, or I am taking the back of the hosel and trying to hit the ground behind my right foot.    Left knee stuff, just sooner.
    • Day 78 - 2026-03-10 Backswing work at the net with foam balls, a few real ball swings.
    • Day 525 - 2026-03-10 Got some work in before lessons today (was going to play after but it decided to POUR). Then like three minutes in later on.
