You'd take whatever he offered. $125 M would make logical sense, but that'd be a wash as far as he's concerned.

At $100M the odds are in his favor BUT you're still making a ****ing hundred million dollars. I'd take $10M or more, and he could spare $10M like it's pocket lint. You can live off the interest of $10M in some pricy areas of the country and super-safe investments, after all.

Of course, I'd make sure it was $10M after taxes. ;)

P.S. For $1M? Please. You could easily sell your ticket to someone - a Las Vegas casino, perhaps - for way, way more than that.

I agree with all of that.

Additionally, I'd also take 9 million.  8 million.  7 million,  You get the idea.

My first instinct was 20 million, simply because he's making a killing, odds-wise, and it's beyond life-changing for me.  A complete win-win.  However, if Buffett decided he wanted to play tough, I'd still take donw to a million.

Oh, I know ... I'd say if you offer me 30 million, I volunteer to pay maximum taxes on it!  He would love that! ;)

This Ohio State-Dayton game is incredible.  What a great way to start the Madness!

Yup ... except now my chance at the billion is already over, and there's only been one game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Darn it, Kraft. Make that shit.

Anyway, can I join the ESPN TST league? My sure-to-be horrendous bracket deserves a spot in there.

It's really sad how consistently awful I am at predicting this tournament. But at least there's comfort in tradition :-)

I'm not sure that anybody ever created one.

So how'd everyone do yesterday? I lost 3, including one sweet 16 team (New Mexico State). Pretty standard start for me. The wheels should fall off any day now :-D

I got about half the games right. And Delaware lost. And Kenny Smith on TNT made fun of our nickname. Not a good day for me.

Lets check, I have two brackets going for money.

Not too bad so far. In the one bracket I have 3 losses, and the other I have 4 losses.

Both brackets are above 75% win percentage, that will do well for the ones I am in.

The biggest pick was N. Dakota State over OU. Oh Yea, I picked that one :-D

If anybody went 16-0 yesterday (ND State? Really?) they are a better man than me. 11-5 but I haven't lost anybody that I have going to the Sweet Sixteen yet.

This stuff is crazy. I won my pool three years ago and almost finished last the next year. My wife went 13-3 yesterday and she hasn't watched a men's college basketball game since she was in college.

A guy on the radio this morning said that 0.17% of people on espn had a perfect bracket through yesterday.  Something like 19,000 out of 11 million.

I pretty much picked all favorites (except Arizona State over Texas) so I lost 5 games. However, my upside is the same as yours ... haven't lost anybody that was supposed to win tomorrow.

My co-worker said that 83% of the brackets from Buffet's 1 Billion dollar got taken out when Ohio State Lost. :-D

And I'm proud to be a part of the 83%.

I would actually expect that there are no perfect brackets left after today.  Certainly not after Sunday, but likely not after today either. ;)

You know what it is, right??? ...

I didn't know about the buyout part.  That's interesting.  Yeah, yesterday was a bracket buster day for sure.  Probably the same today.

    • Hello Golfing Buddies, It has been awhile since I posted but I am the Retired Old Man that asked for advice because I suffered two "T.I.A.'s about switching from playing right handed to playing left handed.  I purchased a Callaway Edge Left handed golf clubs. I changed the grips to oversize grips.  Well, two weeks ago and still at 79 years old, I shot a 44 and 47 on a small course in my hometown.  I am currently changing my shafts from regular flex to Senior flex.  So, you can see' it can be done! So, you other old timers; get with the program! Blessings to all of you. Retired Old Man (Terry Warner)

    • Probably since the golfer has to swing the club back and up. The hands have to move back and up. You can feel them go back and up just by turning the shoulders and bending the right arm, because it brings your hands towards your right shoulder.  The difference is if you maintain width or not. Less width means a shorter feeling swing path so the more you need to lift the arms. Being as someone who gets the right arm bend at 110+ degrees, it's 100% a timing issue. I am use to like a 1.5+ second backswing. It probably should be like 1 second at most. Half a second or more will feel like an eternity. I have had swings where I keep my right arm straighter and I am still trying to time the downswing based on the old tempo.  Ideally, for me, it is probably going to be a much quicker and shorter (in duration) backswing, while keeping the right elbow straighter. Which also means more hinging to get swing length without over swinging.

    • I'm currently recuperating from surgery, so no golf, but have been thinking about this quite a bit. This and the don't overbend the right arm thing. It's hard for me to even pose the position, so I'm not 100% sure, but I feel like it's impossible to have the right humerus along the shirt seam and not overbend your right arm, unless your hands are down near your hips. If the left arm is up at or above the shoulder plane and your right arm is bent less than 90 degrees, then your right humerus has to raise or your hands will get pulled apart. Your left hand can't reach your right hand unless either the right upper arm is up or the right arm is overbent. Is that right? If it is, then focusing on not overbending the right arm would force you to raise the humerus. And actually thinking further on it, if you do overbend your right arm, then you're basically forcing your upper arm down or forcing your left arm to bend. Since (for me at least) bending the left arm too much is not something I think I need to worry about, it means that the bend in the trail arm is really the driving force behind what happens to the right humerus.
