LSW - Book Cover Design Discussion

Dave and I have a few ideas we like, but we thought we'd throw it open to the rest of y'all too.

Tell us - or perhaps even better yet - scribble out an idea and SHOW us what you think the cover of "Lowest Score Wins" should look like.

The text on the front cover will be a combination of this:

Lowest Score Wins

Techniques, Stats, and Strategies to Shoot Lower Scores on the Golf Course NOW.

I work well with numbers, but unfortunately when it comes to abstract visualization and working with white space and other stuff I'm just not as imaginative.... ask me to work with statistics and pretty reports that actually say something and I can help though

It doesn't need to be fully specified. Even sketches or written out ideas are good.

We like our idea, but there may be a better one out there. I've told it to @nevets88 but he'll keep it to himself. It's "simple."

5.5 x 8.5 and yes, the cover is.

I like that one, but I would take a more Aerial view of a golf hole, and have the path of the ball go from tee to fairway, to green. Just to show that the book is about all aspects of the game. Maybe show a darkened transparent circle area on around were the ball lands. I would find a hole that bends to the right or left, just to make the path stand out better.

We probably aren't including a photo of a hole. Licensing issues and whatnot. A drawing maybe, but I dunno. Like I said we have some ideas but are still leaving minds open. And the title will have to be on one side, and the spine too, with some text on the back with a UPC, ISBN, etc.

Interesting designs mixing golf and stats. @iacas - pulled these from the design site I mentioned. Maybe these might inspire the noggin. They look like smartphone app icons (duh).

@iacas , what was wrong with the graphics you used for the indiegogo page? The scorecard, pencil, tee and other assorted crap? I thought that looked good, could make a good cover and the presence of the scorecard kinda makes your point early on.
