Pretty much a combo of fat/thin. If anything, (can't pinpoint for sure) the miss tends to be thin with the shorter and fat with the longer clubs. I can get in a rhythm at the range with a 9 iron where I am hitting solid. Good distance and ball flight. Move to the six though, and it's all down hill. I would say on average, I have been hitting my 8 longer than my 6, just due to the better contact.

Hey guys.  Hope everyone is doing well.

I pretty much took a number of years off from playing (maybe once a year or so for the last 5ish) due to home/life issues.

However, I am ready to start playing again.  I played last fall with friend and had a ton of fun.  I purchased a MEVO+, and have been hitting some balls this winter.

Last night I took some videos, and it looks like I am still struggling (no suprise), with the trail elbow sliding around.

Anyway, not a lot of time right now, but I do plan on working on my swing more this year.

I will try to post a video when I get a chance.

Welcome back, @14ledo81! Hope everything is well on your end. Glad to hear you’ve gotten the golf bug back, even if it’s limited. That’s the great thing about this crazy game... it’s always just there waiting.

Welcome back @14ledo81. I know at least one of the things that happened, and hope all is as well as can be there.

Thanks for the welcome back guys. I’m really excited to work on my game and get better.  Being able to hit balls with the mevo in my garage makes it more enjoyable as well.

So I have been hitting balls on my sim for a bit now.

Took some slo-mo video and still have early release/hands getting stuck behind me.  I am getting away with it with my irons, but its really causing issue with my driver.

Iron distances are as follows (decently struck shots):  PW - 120, 9 - 130, 8 - 140, 7 - 155ish, 6 - 165ish, 5 - 175 ish, hybrid - 180-190.  Driver 210 carry or so with very little roll (high shots with spin).

My swing speed with the driver is consistently 100-103, but ball speed is 125-135.  I can feel the poor contact as well.

Swing speed with 6 iron is 85-88.

Still need to get a video posted.

    • Day 4, 1/2/26.  Played 18 today;  didn't get a chance to warm up (had I known the range was closed, I'd have hit balls at home first).  Played okay, 92 with three balls in the water.  It was raining for more than half the round and I didn't quite appreciate before today just how much I benefit from roll on both drives and approach shots.  I did not adapt well to this change until about hole 15, which is something I have to figure out.
    • Day 143 1-2 Arch wrist in downswing. Having a SLIGHT cup in the lead wrist at the top now. Only paused swings with some rehearsals before swinging at ball.  Used foam ball.
    • Day 459 - 2026-01-02 Had two guys on GEARS Hybrid, so I hopped on afterward (I'm going to do this a lot more often now). So… I've signed myself up for another month of backswing work in two ways: A little more extension of the trail elbow (got into the upper 90s) Less pelvis turn (low 50s).
    • Day 31 (2 Jan 26) - Usual Friday men’s group shootout - good day of shot making  as most shots were right on line to the target point.  Putter and green reads were solid with some great par saves and a really tricky birdie.
    • Day 13 - 2026-01-02 One hour short game work. Chipping balls to different targets, compass putting drill with 2-3% slope.
