IMO - that's fine - the NFL shouldn't be an arbitror of justice, just of business.

So I give them credit for making a good business decision.  But they don't get moral points.  If they could prove it, they should work with law enforcement to ensure real justice.  Not some made up version.

I guess the Ravens reaction to the video was more intense than the police report too.

I know I'll take some heat on this but I call bs on the NFL claiming they didn't see the video that was released today.  Too many reports were made when the incident happened that indicated the NFL reviewed all the video that law enforcement had even though the inside the elevator video wasn't being released to the public.  Goodell must have had some inkling that the video would leak and he changed the policy.  Now they are denying ever seeing the video inside the elevator.  I wonder if all the NFL hard drives will crash along with the backups too.

It also seems a bit coincidental that a 2 month old video surfaces after the first week of regular season games.

It will be interesting to see if the NFLPA tries to take action against the Ravens or if his agents reach out to other teams to determine if there's any interest.   I'm not sure how the CBA works in these cases, but I'm guessing the Ravens lawyers know what they're doing.

They've gone back and quoted everyone who said the NFL had seen the video in July.

The NFL used it then to suggest to those on the outside that there was more to it than Ray just clocking his wife and that the video that we can't see shows that.  Despicable.

Im not smearing anyone. I have a buddy who has a sister. He fought a guy who put hands on his sister and a week later she went back to the guy. I was there when he told her the next time he does it he will not be there to fight the guy again. If it happens once SHAME ON THE GUY, if it happens again shame on both parties.

Yep. I'm big-time on board with the men shouldn't put their hands on women train. But at the same time...she's an adult. A fully grown, fully matured human being...and she alone is responsible for her actions and decisions. And her decision to stay with a man who beats the crap out of her is ridiculous.

I'm with you.  Any talk of his wife and the choices she's made or hasn't made since AFTER the incident in question occurred have no bearing whatsoever on this topic.**  The only reason to even mention her is to smear.  Why else would you even need to bring her up?

But she stayed with him, leaving the door open for it to happen again. And sorry but when the abuser says "It'll never happen again." I dont buy that one bit. If me saying she needed to leave him after cracking her jaw makes me a bad guy then that's fine. :whistle:

I think you're being a bit naïve here if you're really questioning why people might voice concern over her decision to marry a guy that knocked her out in an casino elevator.

I have no desire to smear her, but I do question the  judgment of someone that marries a person that has demonstrated an inability to control their temper and has placed hands on them in a violent manner.
