Yah I remember that from the Symetra Tour thread! You followed your houseguest around, who might've been paired with Stephanie Kenoyer, right?  I remember Stephanie wasn't doing too great, but you said she seemed to have a good attitude.

Great memory! Yah, all the BB participants I met were very accommodating so that was good to see.

+1. I just don't find him likeable at all.

Can we all at least agree that an Anthony v. Toph final is the worst possible situation? I would be cheering for both to lose.

No way, Jimmy vs. Toph would be worse. My order of preference for who wins is: Anthony Emily Jimmy Toph. And really, I'd only like to see Anthony or Emily win as I think of the players left, they've performed the best.

I really have no problems with Jimmy. Performing in this format may have taken time to adjust to. What I could not handle is the bromance and all the bub's that would fly from Christopher's mouth.

This alone would cause me not to watch a Jimmy/Toph final.

I hope Chris-er is matched up with Emily at some point to see her outdrive him by 3 yards.

Well that was one of the more exciting episodes I've seen on this show in a while. So happy to see you-know-who go. When Jimmy drained that putt, I let out a fist pump from the comfort of my couch :-D

Rooting for Jimmy now. He seems like a really good guy. Not that Toph isn't a good guy himself, but Jimmy has a lot of class.

So Toph said something, made my ears pick up.

He said he played at Utah State, that he shot a 59 at Logan (UT) Country Club, they made a small deal about it.

Ha! I've played there, a 3 wood and a wedge type course, pretty short and at altitude. A short game guy's course (like Toph seems to me)

Just a nice little country club in a nice small college town. Lots of people in Utah would give their left nut to summer in Logan and winter in St George as I recall.

But still, shooting 59 anywhere is something!

Anyone else played there? I haven't played there in 30 years. Golf in Utah was pretty fun when I lived there.

287 yards to the pin from the wrong hole, on the fairway, and Mighty Mouth hits an iron??? It's a good thing that he didn't lose when he lost. See, he still lost, but he won, so for him it's like a win-win, and not a win lose or a lose lose. I'll probably check the thread next week as opposed to watching the final.

Anthony ... douche meter was off the chart, and he will be remembered as likely the best villain in BB history.     I was disappointed Emily got bumped - was hoping she would make it to the final ....

When I first read your post, I was lost then wasn't, which was a win, because I was lost but then I won because I remembered the loss of Anthony which was a win for us. So he was right, his loss is a win situation. Such a smart kid. How come they didn't make a big deal out of Anthony graduating from the "Charlie Sheen School of Thought"?

    • Birdied #13 at Quail Brook, which is new. Blocked tee shot right which ended up being fine because I didn't hit it well enough to reach the fescue. Had 110 to the flag and was ready to hit a 3/4 GW to it (even tagged the club) but felt the wind pick up behind me so I decided to club down to the SW and hit it to 4'. Lipped out a 15-footer on #17 for birdie for a tap-in par that also would have been new.
    • I've had a couple of good shots since the last time I posted, 1 a 90 yard approach that I manufactured with my gap wedge that I knocked to about 18 inches, 1 a ~140 yard 8 iron that I got to about 3 feet (pictured), but this week my best shot was a 60 yard pitch. It wasn't anything special but I did hit it out of a divot, so that's what I'm more proud of. Plus, i didn't really have any memorable shots this week.
    • Just a  follow up, I had the best lessons ever on gears with the best instructor! Wish I would’ve made the drive earlier in the year but put it together during a golf trip. Gears was incredible to see your swing in 3d with all the necessary data. I’ve had very few formal lessons in the past and a couple online but nothing compared to working with Erik. He made it  very comfortable and relaxed, patient with all my  questions and showed some swing comparisons of pros swings.    Our main focus was getting the pelvis to move in a better pattern and when he first pushed on my hip with that pvc going back it was like a “wow” moment. And to see the affects in real time just made it quicker to adapt and learn how to find it again, however, even without gears I’m sure it would’ve been an awesome lesson..it’s just nice for some players to see the facts, no debate… At the end of the 1st session I was shocked at the video seeing my pelvis move better, hips open, no early extension. I was literally like I can’t believe that video capture is me! I’m glad I had a second session the following morning, just to reinforce the earlier ideas and work on the next piece to complete the movement, and we still had plenty of time to mess around with lower priority ideas for later. I left that afternoon armed with a practice plan, he took extra time to show me what to look for on my own video and I got a copy of LSW. We’ll continue on evolvr for checkups until another road trip for sure! I also just ordered the stack system with his discount code to work on some speed training as well.    Just wanted to share my appreciation for all Erik’s help and anyone finding there way here like I did over the winter to give it a try!
    • Day 8. Did a bit of setup and backswing work but hip is not ready to swing yet.
