  1. 1. Which hand do you tee the ball up with?

    • I'm a right-handed player and tee the ball with my left hand
      1
    • I'm a left-handed player and tee the ball with my left hand

    • I'm a left handed player and tee the ball with my right hand

This is a totally superfluous question that I'd never given one second of thought to until 10 minutes ago. I flipped on the Australian PGA Championship on Golf Channel and immediately heard Ian Baker-Finch mention that it's odd that Scott Strange tees up the ball with his gloved hand. It took me all of about 5 seconds to conclude that I've teed up every golf ball I've ever swatted with my gloved hand.

I have no idea why that's the case for me – it just feels natural, I guess. I'd probably lose my balance and fall over if I tried to do it with my right hand.

How about you folks? Are you same-handed on the teeing ground or do you flip-flop it?

I think you may have omitted one option..Right or left handed player that tee's with either hand.. ;-)

I didn't vote, cuz I'm a righty, and tee it up with either hand. I keep 2 balls in my right pocket, my tee's in my left pocket. If I take a tee out first, then a ball I usually tee it with my right, if I reverse that order, I'll use my left.. :-D

Right hand. Left hand is holding the club.

Right hand. I lean down holding the club in my left hand for support, and tee up with my right hand. Tees and golf balls are stored in my right pocket.

Righty here, tee up with right hand. Warning: totally selfish and useless brag here ... At the range with mats and rubber tees, I tee up with my driver and foot without bending over.

I do both left and right hand. More right than left.  Depends on if my left knee is sore.  If it is, then I use the club as a cane in my right hand and tee it with my left.

    • Day 21 - 2026-01-10 More mirror work focused on hip.
    • I appreciate that you have taken the time to come back and update. Based on what was previously discussed I feel like the points were; forged, feel good, price, and possibly players distance. If you like the "looks" of those Maxfli irons and if price is a major point, then going straight to the source, Maltby, might make sense. Specifically, the TS3 iron. I was looking into this myself and found some reviews: Fit2YouGolf, Lets Play Thru, and ELITE FIT GOLF. As per your update I found the Maxfli to be ~$1300 fitted the way I wanted. Where the TS3 with the same fitting and assembled by Golfworks was less than $750. I suppose the downside is to actually hit the iron you will need to get lucky and find someone in your golf circle who will let you hit theirs or order a 6 or 7 iron to test. However, the way I look at that is being equivalent to some fittings. If you like the results and buy, then the fitting is free, otherwise the price of the fitting is a sunk cost. If name brand is important, then I submit for your consideration - THE BEST OVERALL IRON of 2024...... FACT !! 😉 A bit tongue in cheek that but also, I feel some good points were discussed.
    • Day 150 1-10 focus on arching the wrist and getting the ball to go left. Recorded, hit foam balls.
    • Day 467 - 2026-01-10 Practiced at Pinehurst every day I was there, and before Junior Elite this morning I got fifteen minutes of backswing checks in the mirror in.
