I didn't even see the shot until I saw this chart.

Here's the drive: http://youtu.be/zDb_AeI-bH8

Here's the chart: http://lowround.co/golf-visualization/25-longest-drives

If I ever make it on the tour, remind me never to play in front of Bubba! :-D

Yup, incredible.

It's too bad the chart didn't include the Euro Tour though ;-)

Something must have been up with the hole because Jordan Speith doesn't have that sort of yardage normally.

@Lihu Thanks!

@Valleygolfer Ya most of those on the list are from the Hyundai Tournament of Champions.  Bubba's was from the WGC-Bridgestone though.

That makes sense. I have been a little linear lately and when I read it, I thought they were all from the WGC.

Not at all suggesting that he's still not a beast, but when you look at that video you can see that hole has a considerable amount of downhill slope to it as well.  Not as much as Kapalua 18, however, it's a decent grade.  Of course, he still carries it 330 or something to get to the top of that slope, which is bonkers in and of itself.

Definitely.  I don't think anyone on the tour can hit it that far without a nice downhill.

Yeah, not sure it's physically possible.

I don't care much for those longest drives. It's always involving downhill slopes, wind, favorable conditions etc.

That's a big, big tee shot right there. Even better that it's in the fairway and on a par five!

I wish my fairways were firm like that. You're lucky to get five yards of roll here.

Camera guy has no idea where to look for this ball. His first guess was off by about 100 yards. :-D

That is also because of the Euro tour too. Their camera guys can never find the balls...

Maybe they should enlist someone to help them find their balls.

It's because the fairways and grasses are so yellow on the links courses I think. Half the time I think they've missed the ball when it actually is in the center of the screen, just because there's not much contrast between the ball and grass.

    • Day 6 (24 Jan 26) - With weather coming in, kept session short - hitting a few balls in the backyard- alternating between lead arm only drill and short pitches.
    • Day 164 1-24 Arching wrist in downswing,  still focusing on slightly cupped at top. Hit foam balls. 1/2 swings again. Did plenty of pauses and rehearsals
    • My home course, a semi-private, has a sign in the pro shop area saying that athletic workout attire is not permitted on the actual golf course. Also, collared shirts are required. But, I was unable to find similar athletic-attire language in the course web site. As far as enforcement: I would be hard pressed to tell difference between golf rain gear and lined workout pants and a warm-up top. Personally, use my wind shirt both for golf and for cold gyms.
    • Season 1: Rangefinder / Season 2: Add GPS In early going, rangefinder will help you gauge distances on your shots inside 100 yards, especially your partial wedges. This will help you get up-and-down if you miss the green. Also, GPS can be problematic if you play a cramped course where the holes are packed together tightly (like, they needed 15 more acres to make things work). On such a course if your shot lands on the edge of the No. 13 fairway, GPS may accidentally give you distance to adjacent No. 10 green. A problem in the St. Louis area with a couple of courses built on 100 acres or less. One such course, originally a small 9-hole track, was expanded it to 18 holes without adding any extra acreage. On such bad reads, it's easy to come up 30 yards short or long on your approach.
