I'd be interested. Of the e-series balls, the fitting recommends the e-6 more than the e-5.

Sure makes me wish I were in a warmer climate (I wish that anyways). Being a high handicapper, I have been trying out both the e-5 and e-6 to see what I like better.

Huh. The online fitting says e6, which I used to play before switching to the B330-RX. If you still need someone to use the e6 for a round or two, I can commit to playing in February with them and writing a review. If you want me to try one of the other ones, I'm okay with that too.

If no one volunteers for the e7, I would like to. Just understand I have offered to cover the e5, and a fellow I play with will strike the e7. I have seen him carry 275-285 consistently enough to be curious what he thought of a distance ball.

Count me in.   My wife plays E6 instead of lady's ball.  I can review any of the above.  You will get two reviews in one :-) .

I'll see what I can do. I sent the list of names to our Bridgestone guy last night. Last post in the thread was almost 4 days ago so I figured that was everyone.

I would love to try some new balls, currently play the E6, but the way my game is coming around I been debating on upgrading to a more responsive ball. Playing in and around the Atlanta area, 3-4 times per week.

I'm thinking about swapping the ball because I have fixed a lot of the problems with my game, after the knee injury I picked up a wicked slice and it was a hard one to correct. Now I'm driving straight and averaging around the 290+ mark with a slight left to right draw. My swing speeds are pretty stout, I'm a big guys at 6'5" tall and 255lbs, and I'm not overweight. My average swing speed is 118, but if I twist on it I have been as high as 127.

PM sent.  I current play the older E6 because I bought several dozen during a sale but would love to try the newer version.

Thanks in advance.

If you're still looking for some volunteers, I'll be more than glad to try them out and write a review.

Mine came today too! I've been chipping with it in the basement for the past 40 minutes and so far this ball baffles me. It's performing so differently from what I expected. That's not a good or bad thing, it's just weird. Only ball that played like this has been the Callaway Supersoft but the compression differences are massive, so that's not it. I'm glad I have some time before I can play it on the course because it's going to take some time to get used to.

So if I melted one with a torch would it explode or something?

What in the world would make you want to do that? Do you typically melt your golf balls when you play with them?

I had some that were a few tenths off in weight from the median so I thought some destructive testing might be in order.

    • Day 11: did mirror work for a while. Worked on the same stuff.
    • I'm not sure you're calculating the number of strokes you would need to give correctly. The way I figure it, a 6.9 index golfer playing from tees that are rated 70.8/126 would have a course handicap of 6. A 20-index golfer playing from tees that are rated 64/106 would have a course handicap of 11. Therefore, based on the example above, assuming this is the same golf course and these index & slope numbers are based on the different tees, you should only have to give 5 strokes (or one stroke on the five most difficult holes if match play) not 6. Regardless, I get your point...the average golfer has no understanding of how the system works and trying to explain it to people, who haven't bothered to read the documentation provided by either the USGA or the R&A, is hopeless. In any case, I think the WHS as it currently is, does the best job possible of leveling the playing field and I think most golfers (obviously, based on the back & forth on this thread, not all golfers) at least comprehend that.
    • Day 115 12-5 Skills work tonight. Mostly just trying to be more aware of the shaft and where it's at. Hit foam golf balls.
    • Day 25 (5 Dec 25) - total rain day, worked on tempo and distance control.
    • Yes it's true in a large sample like a tournament a bunch of 20 handicaps shouldn't get 13 strokes more than you. One of them will have a day and win. But two on one, the 7 handicap is going to cover those 13 strokes the vast majority of the time. 20 handicaps are shit players. With super high variance and a very asymmetrical distribution of scores. Yes they shoot 85 every once in a while. But they shoot 110 way more often. A 7 handicap's equivalent is shooting 74 every once in a while but... 86 way more often?
