Brooks is on the north course.

I'm rooting K.J, he's tied for the lead and is on the South which kind of makes him in the lead.

Ah, now I see the (NC)- thanks. I'm just scoreboard watching at pgatour.com every once in a while.

Edit: deleted asterisk comment as it's n/a.

cbssports.com has a live viewer that is showing the south course hole 13 (and occasioanally hole 16 as well) that you can watch free.

Yeah, I don't know what the asterisk means.

The only way I can tell which course is to open up the players scorecard and look at the total yardage.  7698 = the south, 7052 = the north.

Tiger reminds me of a 76 year old guy who plays at my club. This guy can still get around OK because he has playing partners who will pick his tees up for him. I pick his tees up for him when on occassion we are in the same group.

Thank God Tiger has Billy Horschel picking up his tees for him today. Good on Horschel helping Tiger out like that.

Billy Horschel seems like a really cool dude. What he's doing for Tiger is pretty cool, picking up his tees and stuff...

I hope you get gonorrhea on your duodenum. Anyways, saw this on the TigerTracker - dude could really use one of these about now...

Interestingly, his back doesn't seem to twinge on the shots that he's happy with.... ;-)

pgatour.com or pgatour app both have (NC) or (SC) immediately adjacent to each players name.

So perhaps that's a Tiger-specific tic, just like all of the PGA tour players have adopted the same routine of tapping down a "spike mark" that was in their line when they miss a short putt they should have made?

Or like how I always reflexively used to look at my glove after I made an error, or still currently look at my tennis racquet (for holes, I guess) when I hit a horrible shot? :-P

    • Day 11: did mirror work for a while. Worked on the same stuff.
    • I'm not sure you're calculating the number of strokes you would need to give correctly. The way I figure it, a 6.9 index golfer playing from tees that are rated 70.8/126 would have a course handicap of 6. A 20-index golfer playing from tees that are rated 64/106 would have a course handicap of 11. Therefore, based on the example above, assuming this is the same golf course and these index & slope numbers are based on the different tees, you should only have to give 5 strokes (or one stroke on the five most difficult holes if match play) not 6. Regardless, I get your point...the average golfer has no understanding of how the system works and trying to explain it to people, who haven't bothered to read the documentation provided by either the USGA or the R&A, is hopeless. In any case, I think the WHS as it currently is, does the best job possible of leveling the playing field and I think most golfers (obviously, based on the back & forth on this thread, not all golfers) at least comprehend that.
    • Day 115 12-5 Skills work tonight. Mostly just trying to be more aware of the shaft and where it's at. Hit foam golf balls.
    • Day 25 (5 Dec 25) - total rain day, worked on tempo and distance control.
    • Yes it's true in a large sample like a tournament a bunch of 20 handicaps shouldn't get 13 strokes more than you. One of them will have a day and win. But two on one, the 7 handicap is going to cover those 13 strokes the vast majority of the time. 20 handicaps are shit players. With super high variance and a very asymmetrical distribution of scores. Yes they shoot 85 every once in a while. But they shoot 110 way more often. A 7 handicap's equivalent is shooting 74 every once in a while but... 86 way more often?
