I've read the posts in US Open thread and I am revising the team's chance to make the cut and better.   Hard fairway with balls rolling a long time will add to the team's tee shot distance and the long par 4s now become less daunting.   If green is slow as reported, that's another advantage to the team.

Okay, let's look at the holes Hole, Par, yardage, comment 1- 4/5 - 598/496, they don't hit it in 2 as a par 5 and probably don't hit it in 2 as a par 4 2 - 4 - 399, they should be

I think the slopes and fast greens would take some getting used to. With practice, they could make the cut easy and possibly be in contention on a good day. Really cool idea, and I'd actually watch like watching that.

After watching the first round the course is easier than I first expected, so a team of 6-7 handicappers could definitely compete or win. Fairways are wide (compared to the typical US Open), balls aren't bouncing off greens and the greens are only rolling at a 10 or 11.

After watching the first round the course is easier than I first expected, so a team of 6-7 handicappers could definitely compete or win. Fairways are wide (compared to the typical US Open), balls aren't bouncing off greens and the greens are only rolling at a 10 or 11.

Yeah, I think the handicap team will do well, make the cut for sure and even win.  The course set up is still hard but, IMO, plays well into amateur players (wide fairway, nice roll out on drives, slow contouring green, ....).     The team will get a lot of look at birdie with 4 chances to make the putt.

The real question, do you think a scramble team of 6 or 7 handicappers could really beat Tiger, Rickie, and Louis?  I think not.

      I had a few tweeks in the bag. I took out my Mizuno pro FliHi 3 iron replaced it with a Titleist GT2 7 Wood. what a change that is, so easy to hit, it goes so high without it ballooning on me. I couldn't get rid of my callaway woods ( Rogue ST Max LS ) but changed the shafts to Diamana BB 63 stiff for the driver and 73 stiff for the 3 wood. Than i got myself a new putter Odyssey S2S jailbird yes i joined the centershaft family

      First off all i think you should use the same ball all the time. We all strive for consistency on the course, the only factor you can be sure it will be always the same is your ball if you always use the same. So i think we should always use the same. I recently switched from Titleist Pro V1x to Srixon Z-Star Diamond because it i get a bit softer feel around the greens and same results on driver and irons
