Y'all don't have to worry, because there is a better chance that I wake tomorrow as Tiger Woods then there is that Trump wins the Presidency.

Whew!   Trump keep putting his foot in his mouth.  The latest "Muslim" episodes surely alienated more general election voters for Trump.  To my surprise, Carson's view on Muslim is in line with Trump's.

I am being corrected that the bold statement above is not exactly right.   I agree that is the case.   Carson has revised his position on Muslim and that is quite different from Trump's on-going position.

Trump lied again about the turnout he got for the recent campaign stop - http://www.msnbc.com/msnbc/trump-speaks-half-empty-room.   He attacked CNN reporter, CNN for asking questions about the lack of turnout at the event.   He insisted that the room was full, crowd surged forward to get close to him to explain empty chairs, etc..   Unfortunately for Trump, the half empty room was captured in videos, pictures for everyone to see.   I don't know how he can insist that the room was full, and attack CNN for their report when there is that much evidence.

I love how he acts like a 12 year old who was just told something he didn't like.

Could be.    He and Fox got divorced.  He ticked off (or got pissed off at) CNN now and theyare likely on a separation path.   Without CNN, Fox keep interviewing Trump, he will  get less media exposure.    And his campaign team keep making mistakes - so much for Trump's "hiring the best people."  His poll numbers has eroded since the 2nd debate and I don't see it improving.

He and Fox were never going to get along.

When's the next debate?  It'll be interesting to see if he learns from the last one and performs better or if he continues his slide.

I don't know when the next debate is.   But Trump so far has shown very little in the way of adjusting, improving, coming up with new stuff, providing details, etc..   I think we are seeing the limitation of what he can/will do for the POTUS candidacy.   Even the rhetoric have been repeating itself - no new issues.   He should stop spending time on tweeter and start studying, learning up on real issues.

Don't look at Trump solely as a candidate. He's part of a phenomenon as the Republican Party continues to find itself. Boehner's resignation announcement is a symptom of major changes in the party. The change began with the tea party stealing the 2010 midterms and will end with...who knows? Hopefully a better, more responsive, more functional government.

BWAHAHAHAHA

Sorry, I found that hilarious ;)

Trump is a clown. He's a side show. Honestly he's not worth anybodies time. If he's the change in the republican party then the party should just die.

Gawker had an article relating to this today, I think. The GOP is at a place where the moderates have no place and the party is ceding control to the vocal right-wing fringe.

I think Boehner is a shit politician with shit positions; but even he saw the writing on the wall with this Planned Parenthood nonsense. Another government shutdown would only serve to hurt the GOP, at a moment when the expired bowl of clam chowder that is Donald Trump is dragging them into the mud.

If the Republican Party wants to start winning.

1) Embrace immigration as a natural expansion of the USA population. Show some compassion to those that want to better themselves with hardwork,.

2) Just stop giving a crap what goes on in other people bed rooms. Start supporting the idea of civil unions and dump the terminology, "marriage".

3) Be an advocate for small business not big corporations. This country was founded on small business.

4) Actually support a streamline modernization of the tax code that supports the small business owners.

If they can get some sort of support on the trend in social issues they would  do better. In the end, most people see government programs as poorly designed and poorly run. I think most Americans like lower taxes over higher taxes.

I agree, but they have shown no willingness to do any of those things. Their pockets are filled with donations from the wealthy and the corporations, and the religious right has fully taken over the party. Even Barry Goldwater, a conservative's conservative, thought this was a bad way to go.

They are going to continue to lose to the Dems, especially in Presidential elections. Around 33-35% of the country will never vote Republican, their core demographic is shrinking each year, and they have shown zero willingness to modernize. It's going to be a tough road.

I think the point is that it's not about winning elections anymore. Both parties have had electoral success over the last two presidents and neither have been able to translate that into effective governance. I think the republican party's transformation is acknowledgment that winning isn't enough.

    • Day (2 May 24) - somehow I missed posting both Tues and Weds practice sessions - so the streak ends and a new one begins…. Focus today was on ball first contact using the Divot Board for reference.   Worked with 7i, 9i and GW hitting hard foam balls.  Started hap hazardly and then settled back into my pre-shot setup.  Much more consistent in the latter.
    • So, Newey is out at Red Bull. Where does he go in a year? Is Max still with RBR in 2026? Hmmmm.
    • August 2010 Woodfin Ridge 18th hole Playing in a large tournament with a slew of friends and the last day was two man best ball. The 18th, when it was bent grass, was very fast due to a steep slope on the right side. I had seen many people over the years putt off the green from above the hole. I hit a great drive and 3W to 30’ left of the hole. With everyone watching my partner hit it way too fast and never high enough and his ball rolled all the way to the bottom of the green.  I hit mine much higher and the ball came to rest about 20” above the hole. Then it slowly started trickling towards the hole for a walkoff eagle! Nobody said anything except my partner who was yelling pretty loudly. I looked at the crowd and told them it was okay to clap because it was a great putt, and they gave me a bunch of polite golf claps and brought me a beer!
    • Day 127: 5/2/24 Stack Full Speed spectrum training session 6/24. Training speed was 5 mph higher than previous high, as was e-speed. Still not as high as I have done in previous programs, but just 1 mph lower. Battling through a neck issue, and possible trigger fingers. Happy with results.
    • Day 49. Played 9 from tees a bit beyond my comfort zone and was humbled. Hit a couple good shots so will take that at least.
