I kinda like the look. Not sure if they are to replace the Ping i25's or not.

They've been added to the USGA’s Conforming Club List in both right-handed and left-handed models.

They do look nice. Not enough for me to give up my current stix though...

Yes they'll be replacing the i25 irons. Hears what I've heard: Slightly larger sole, thinner topline, less offset. Made from the same material as the Glide wedges. Stock shaft options: CFS Distance, DG, Nippon Pro Modus Tour 105, Project X, DG XP 95. They'll be available July 30th.

Same material as the Glide wedges, available in an iron. At the very least, I'm going to need to attend a demo day.

You usually don't see that combination together; sounds very appealing to me.

I think they had to make the sole a little wider because they added a larger undercut but wanted a "cleaner" look. At address I'm guessing it's a combo between the S55 irons and the i25's.

That has me interested.

I guess the Nippon Pro might be the next best since KBS doesn't look to be a stock option. That or Project X. I do not like Dynamic Gold. The other's look to be the lightweight shaft options.

I like the finish... but they look a lot like my APs...

Hey people, long time follower of the site, S&T;, and mvmac's swing instruction videos.

Just thought I'd chime in here on the 2nd pic you have posted. Makes me chuckle a bit.

At work yesterday I took a few minutes and modified the original i-E1 iron pic to clean up the badge, and this morning mygolfspy (and this site) have picked up on it and posted it. The former removed it earlier today. Thought I'd let you know retail release will most likely look like the first pic with the extra lines and blue color on the badge.

These new i series irons have a lot of PING fans (including me) very excited. Here's hoping they'll perform (which they most likely will since they're PINGS!)

Cheers.

Agreed. There's a lot to like about them. I'll have to try them out when they're released.

I wonder if he was the driving force behind these irons. He was very confident in the i25s he'd play with

    • Ok you’re right I’m wrong. After beating myself up trying to do well with my 20 year old ERC Fusion 10° driver, I bought a used Paradym driver 10.5° currently set to 11.5° (2023 technology) and what a difference. Not to drag out an old cliche’, but what a game changer.   After a rough day at the range (with Top Tracer) I picked up my new driver from the PO, drowned my sorrows a bit over lunch, and brought the new club home. I hit a couple balls on my home range and was more than pleased. Redeemed actually. Farther, straighter, and less effort. I’ll have to get used to the new lie angle, but I think it will make it easier, not harder.     And the best part - I only paid $110 for this unit (ok, the best part is how it launches the ball). It was a little rough in appearance, not that it matters, but I was a bit concerned. Turned out to not be so bad and with some Flitz and a little elbow grease, I have it looking quite spiffy.  Club face is nice too but the file was too big so that pic didn’t post.   And BTW X-ray, we sold the horses, so the old one isn’t even good for that!

    • Day 207 - 2025-04-25 Did a little swing work mostly in helping others, but I got some swings of my own in as what I was demonstrating to them is what I'm working on. Was going to play but it's raining and I have a podcast to record with Mike Carroll.
    • 86 isn't slow. It's either takeaway and impact when they beep, or the ends of the backstroke and follow-through.
