Well Koepka can't hit his putt, so Stewart Cink, Ben Curtis, and David Duval are stuck behind his group.

Officials/referees are testing if the balls will be moved by the wind on the greens.

So much for this side getting the better draw. They're getting crucified right now, at least the ones that have 4+ holes to play. This may take DJ, Spieth, Day, Louis and others out of contention.

Problem is this wind is expected to last throughout the day. Might become a Monday finish.

Spieth said they should never even have started playing today.

Yeah, it seems everyone is pissed off. Cink, Curtis & Duval must be really pissed off, they didn't even get a chance to hit a shot.

Worst case scenario, there might not be more golf today, or at least until very late.

Not sure the wind had too much to do with dj,s duffed chip though!

I have money on DJ too so I am kinda glad they called it. The wind was about to blow him out of the championship haha. Spieth too. Jason Day and Oosthuizen really got punished.

Willett, Warren, Johnson, Scott, Streb, Donald, and Goosen have got to be real happy :-D. Also Paul Lawrie, because he's like a stoneman who doesn't feel wind.

Bed time for me. Came home after a nice round of drinks expecting golf but a no go. And looking at the forecast, I don't think they're going to be playing for a long time. They'll prolly get through round 2 and that's it. They'll play round 3 tomorrow and round 4 Monday. No winds tomorrow so it should be a birdie fest.

Same here. Night all.

curious decision from the R&A; to suspend play.

commercials from The Four Letter Network about how arduous the conditions can be, and how tough the Open Championship is to win is the height of hypocrisy.

tough for one, tough for all. let. them. play.

I find the media treatment Tiger Woods currently is receiving after his performance a disgrase and totally out of proportion. I get the feeling some sort of personal war is being settled. He is not playing well, we all can see that. I read an article in golfdigest, multiple repeat of the word 'done'. Uncalled for. What happened to the US media and their respect for their storting heroes? Does Woods needs to be 65? High trees do catch a lot of wind, certainly in Scotland, but this not ok. I wonder what the reason behind it all is. Just my 2 cents. I would love to see him perform well, I enjoy DJ, I hope he finally wins.
