HI Guys

Just getting back into playing after only playing once or twice a year last four or five years. Used to play a lot in my late 30's and 40's but a back operation put an end to that for a while, then work and life got in the way, now getting a chance to slow down a little at work so wanting to start back up playing. Going to get custom fitted later in year ( wife's Christmas present to me:) )...hope to retire in a few years so this set of clubs should last me till I get to old to play. Now playing with off the shelf Callaway Irons and driver........shooting in 100's right now but looking forward to improving that next year..so Hello everyone

there is a lot of courses to play for sure, just wished the grass didn't turn white for so much of the year ;-)

      I don't follow the LIV tour so for starters somebody would have to tell me that they are coming. Even if tickets were free I probably wouldn't go. I'm just not interested.  I've been to a fair amount of PGA Tour Tournaments in my life. I've even attended two US Opens... One men's, and one women's. I've been to college and high school tournaments as well.  I'd actually be more interested in attending a Korn Ferry Tournament or an Epson Tour Tournament. Which reminds me the Nationwide Chlidren's Hospital Championship in September is right down the street. I should get tickets.

      LIV golf was pretty close to me in 2023, at the same course that hosted the 2023 Senior PGA.  I didn't go to either one.  I do know a few people who went to the LIV event, and they said it was pretty well attended and pretty well run.  If I had free tickets, I might show up, but I'd probably have to drive 10 miles to park to get a shuttle to come back to within 5 miles of my house.

      As long as "in town" means a drive of less than an hour, I'd probably go.  I've never actually been to a pro golf event, so it would be a novelty. Presumably, they'd be playing on a course that I'm not normally allowed to visit, so there would be an interest in just going to see the place. My tolerance for traffic is pretty minimal, so if massive headaches are predicted it would dampen my enthusiasm.
