They've been written about in countless newspaper and web articles, as well as in many, many tournament write-ups. I'm pretty sure that their names being mentioned on an internet forum are small potatoes to them.

Basically those are the people that you would know about already if you followed the Colorado junior golf scene, their privacy in terms of golf is limited to what you can google (which is actually how I checked where they were going).

Yea, wasn't Jerry Rice a +2 when he somehow got accepted (maybe because his name was involved in the tourney or something) to play in a web.com (nationwide at the time I think) event... And he shot like 15 over the first day?

Just out of curiosity, why have you been going to a junior college for the last two years as a +2 golfer? I know that all of the top players in Colorado that were seniors last year got snapped up by Division I schools, even if not on a full ride. Grant Rogers went to Rice, Ross MacDonald and Pierce Aichinger went to CU Boulder, and Jake Staiano (who advance to U.S. Open sectional qualifiers) ws signed by CSU. All these players were given scholarships to play, and I know the 4A and 5A state champions both took large scholarships to go to Division II schools. These are all players in the +1 to +3 handicap range and they all were on the radar of many college golf scouts from the tournaments they played in. Why is your case any different?

There is a player on my old high school team who was a +2 handicap as a sophomore last year and was receiving equipment and discounts from Mizuno, Bettinardi, and a number of clothing manufacturers based upon his tournament performance in addition to already having contact with Division I coaches. While he and his dad have an aggressive personal marketing strategy for him, and he is likely an outlier case, it just goes to show that I'm pretty sure you'd have a good idea by now if you could make a Division I team. Those coaches aren't stupid, they look through tournament results to find the players they want and if you are consistently shooting in the 60's with as many 67's as you say they likely would have contacted you with an offer to at least visit by now, if not an offer to attend.

Moreover, if words got around that a 15 year old went from nothing to +2 in 3 years, there would be a lot of chatter, and following.   I must say, the OP is exaggerating or it's just another one of those we have seen in this form for so many times.

Playing professionally? That can mean lots of things. Indeed you can probably play on one of the mini professional tours, but doesn't mean you'll be successful.

If you're asking if you'll be on the PGA Tour someday, I'll say not a chance in hell.

Guys with a + handicap are literally everywhere.

From the championship tees the back nine has a rating of 37.9 w/ 131 south.

The differential for that nine holes is +4.2. Just for nine holes.

If you want to be on the PGA Tour you probably need something like +5 or better from courses with rating of 75+.

The OP was 15 when he started playing golf.   In 3 years, he became a +2.   Between school and being a teenager, there isn't enough time to learn all the skills and do the practices to make that quick of an improvement in golf.   On top of that, he would need a world class instructor, and support from everyone around him.   Even if God smiled on him and gave him a super talent, 3 years of golf while managing school & adolescent activities isn't enough to go from beginning to +2 HI.   If he is serious about becoming a pro golfer, he should start by being honest with himself.   If he explains how he did it so far (or show some evidence), this forum is full of people who will go out of their way to help.

Post your swing on The Swing Thread.  Ask about areas you need to improve.  Ask about others experience in trying to make a living playing golf.  This forum's member include instructors, former pros.   Just coming here asking will I make it?   The members have seen it too many times and none of such posters came back to post their success story.  None.
