What'd You Shoot Today?

Recommended Posts

shot 4 over on 9 holes today! of course huge storms blew thru and chased me off the course -

It might have been a blessing, because now I can think I had a great chance to shoot around 80 without the problem of a snowman or two that probably would have come on the back :)

either way, I'm pumped with how I am striking the ball. The driver is the best it has ever been for me

I shot 84 today (41/43) saved alot with the short game because my long irons were not to good.
I got one birdie and lipped out a couple more.
overall im happy with the round.

They say golf is like life, but don't believe them. Golf is more complicated than that.

Squeezed in 9 holes last night with some friends and played very well. Shot 38. Birdied the first hole, 5 pars and 3 bogeys. Just okay off the tee but short game was on, made a few good up and downs to save par and one actually to save bogey on a hole that I was really chopping up.

Shot 76 (+6) today! Struggling with snap hooks all day yet again my short game saved my round!
6 out of 14 fairways and 11 out of 18 greens!

99. Good, for me. 2 GIR, 45 putts. Obviously atrocious on the green, they were pretty fast (soaked) and didn't leave myself too many short putts.

However, this way my first time assessing penalties, etc. so I was happy with it.
Also, I was driving straight. Hit the range before hand and tweaked it a little bit, extremely happy all the way around. Probably 10+ strokes better given the penalties than my last rounds.

I shot a 73, +3 today. Had 9 straight pars and I told myself this was getting a little boring, so then I went bogey, par, bogey, bogey, and then parred out. I had a lot of GIR today which I am very happy with (11/18). Got up and down 4/7, 32 putts, 7/14 fairways hit. I only hit 1 of the 4 par 3 greens, so that is something to work on.

shot a 77 at the home course today 70.2 127 6200 it plays harder it seems lmao
7 fairways 10 greens 35 putts so obviously need a bit of short game work

47 in cold, wet, miserable conditions. I now know what it feels like to putt on a sponge.

Played 9 today, shot par for the first time (34)!!!!!! I was getting up and down from everywhere. Only had one longer putt which I made from 26 feet after a terrible chip which got me further away from the hole than I started. Didn't need to really putt otherwise. Funny, I didn't make any birds, but no bogeys either! All pars down the card. Hope it lasts.

I shot a bogey free 34 (-2). It was amazing. I shot par once like 5 years ago, but this round was great. I hit 7 of 9 greens and the two greens I missed were on the fringe and I still putted. Plus I missed two putts from about 12' for birdie so it could have been even better. I'll still take it.

Walked a quick 9 yesterday, shot a 42. Putting was a little bit off but had some beautiful drives. I was able to cut many corner of long dogleg pars 4 and 5s. Had a pretty good day.

I shot a 99 today, breaking 100 for the first time! I was using my new Burner driver for the first time and it helped a lot (along with the hybrid I recieved for free when I bought the driver). I also had my first birdie ever, a chip in from 15 yards off the green. Obviously, I have not been playing for too long, but I love it!

Shot a 75 last Friday and that's with a triple on a par 4. It was a nice warm day up here in unpredictable Seattle and the course had a lot of cottonwood flying all over. Getting a Bushnell V2 has really helped me with yardages and scoring.

Last night's nine holes was a 6/4/8/3/5/7/5/4/4= 46, the short game prevented it from being north of 50. I would like to thank the oak tree on #3 from preventing my tee shot shank from hitting a car. I hit #9 in regulation for the first time this year and that was my only GIR.

Today's front nine was about the same with a couple of short putts missed and a splashdown on #7. 5/5/7/4/5/6/7/5/5= 49 with a couple of 3 putts and 18 total. Naturally, the two 3putts were on the only two greens I hit in regulation. The back 9 was a different story though, 4/4/4/5/3/7/6/3/5= 41. It is not often I step to the 15th tee at even par for the back 9. The 9 foot birdie putt on #12 was the first birdie at my home course this year. The 29 footer to save bogey at #18 is my longest holed putt of the year to date. In all, I had just 13 putts on the back.

49/41=90
FIR: 6/14: quite good for me, the driver was satisfactory today
GIR: 4/18: also improved
GIR +1: 11/18: right about average
putts: 31

After 15 years off, I've been playing for about 100 days now. I'm quite happy with how I'm doing.

Shot another 93 this morning. Just can't seem to get below 90 no matter how hard I practice.

Nothing stood out as being bad today.. Driving, chipping and putting was all distinctly mediocre. Good news is that I managed to get up&down; a couple of times and I didn't have a single blow-up hole. Even my worst hole I managed to squeeze out a double.

5 Par, 5 Bogey, 8 Doubles
6/14 Fairways hit
4/18 GIR
36 putts (meh)
1 penalty

Still having trouble with hitting shots fat, very fat at times. Driver has straightened fairly well, but I should reshaft my 3W so I can use that on tight fairways.

Played a great 9 today. I went to the range to hit a small bucket of balls and work on some stuff. The head pro was giving a lesson. After he finished he came over to where I was and watched me hit a few then asked me to join him for a quick 9. We played two-man best ball for $5. The head pro and I against the assistant and another guy. We lost the first hole to the asst.pro's birdie. We won 2,3 and 4. I birdied 2 and 3 and the head pro birdied 4. We pushed the rest with pars and a push birdie on 9.

I made three birdies playing with the best golfers out there. It felt good.

We play the game for days like this.
