Just put together my own little low budget training aid. It's a relatively inexpensive ($12-15$) laser line diode that I mounted to my putter. It not entirely complete yet as I still need to rig up a more permanent mounting system (It is currently held on with rubber shaft clamp) but I couldn't wait to share. Updates coming soon.

Great idea! How does the device  affect the feel and swing of your putter? Did you discover anything about your putting stroke I with the device?

That looks good. I won one of those Dead Aim putters with the laser that goes on top of it for training a couple of years ago. The laser is a great tool for training your aim. Mine is only a pointer, though. Yours looks like it can do more with the stroke, too.

What's funny is I didn't bother using the laser for like a year from when I received it, then I did a SAM PuttLab session with @pcombs21 and he told me I needed to. I was consistently aiming everything right (like 4" from 10' or something ridiculous like that) and it caused me to make compensations in my stroke. Started using the laser and was able to make a setup adjustment that allowed me to aim the putter properly very quickly.

Looking forward to hearing the results from this.

It definitely had the interest of your kitty..... Cat's love laser lights, mine would chase the beam endlessly.   :-)

Huh, I never noticed the cat first time watching the video. Cats love the red dot.

    • Day 5- Slow,  short swings with short practice club.
    • Lemme guess….’ We don’t want any confrontation so nobody says anything.’ Sheesh…..Call him out and fix the problem.
    • Went to a PING fitting day today. Going to be ordering a G430 Max 3w with a 75g x-stiff shaft at 5w length and a 3h. I forget what my fitter did with the shaft on that but she told me she’s going to email the club the specs of everything. The 3w combination we found pretty quickly. As for the hybrid, we tried a bunch of different head and shaft combinations for that distance with mixed results. Then she handed me the 3h and I took three swings with it and knew it was the one.
    • Yeah, this isn't sandbagging. It's outright cheating. He should be banned.
    • That’s quite a generalization. It’s clear that you don’t like water but there are plenty of us that drink it just fine. My daily intake is usually about 20oz of black coffee, 16oz of soda, 8oz of milk mixed into a protein shake, and anywhere between 30-60oz of water. It doesn’t even need to be cold and I kind of prefer it closer to room temperature than cold. I quite like the taste of tap water, with sole exception being the tap water at Magic Kingdom (it’s terrible). I can’t stand when people bring me tap water with a lemon wedge in it. I didn’t ask for lemon in my water.
