Broke par finally 🤣

I have won the net division of the 2024 William Anderson Match Play Championships at Neshanic Valley Golf Course.

Broke par (finally!) with 69 from the white tees at Wing Point Country Club on July 25. It's a par 71 course. One eagle, 4 birdies, 9 pars, and 4 bogeys. Finished birdie, birdie, par on #16-18.

I finally won an individual tournament! The 73-70 that I shot last weekend won the 2022 Lake Spanaway Senior Club Championship.

I think the rule is you get the best barrier you've beaten -- you might notice I have "broke 80" but not "broke 90" or "broke 100."  

Stupid monkey is a particular award about how you practice.  It's something I still have to work on keeping with.  When I'm able to keep with it, it really helps.  Check this thread out:

Always glad to share the details!  Broke par on 8/13/21 playing in a 36 -person, 2-man team event at Woodfin Ridge Golf Club in SC.  After playing poorly most of the year, hit 16/18 GIR and the two I missed were by a combined 3’.  All pars through 10 and made lengthy birdie putts on 11, 13 and 16.  First time breaking 70 since 1987!

Holed my 2nd shot for eagle on # 14 at Musgrove Mills Golf Course in Clinton, SC. The Oak tees have a 155 Slope and the Arnold Palmer designed course is a 2nd shot course with most greens fronted by waste bunkers or guarded by water.  A welcome break on a tough day earlier this year!

My hole in one was on # 11 at Carolina Sands in NC, a 135 yard hole with a green that slopes hard from left to right.  Hit a PW about 9’ beyond the pin and slightly to the left and it spun back into the hole!

      Agreed on the PT. Unlikely you have a serious injury. Most likely it's just from being tight/out of shape and then doing something athletic. Been there a million times, trust me. PT, light gym work 40 minutes a day really adds up over time. Plus I couldn't do what I do without the aid of my massage gun.  Dry needling can help unlock a lot of this as well, so don't forget about this option for some point down the road.   PS- For the last few years I've seen a DPT twice a week. It's expensive, but I've learned a few things: one of them is his mobilizations of tight areas around my back and pelvis has really helped. Seeing an actual therapist regularly for a few months is a big time advantage. Our bodies are like cars in that we do need to maintain them to a certain extent X amount of the time. I know you know all this already, I'm just reiterating stuff. Hope you're feeling better soon!

      So, I haven't quit ...just taking a little winter siesta. I have been doing some Stack training and a little office carpet putting with the Pelz Putting Tutor. I'll see where I am in another 6 weeks or so and then maybe look for some instruction.

      I think it is probably my lack of motivation to work out the past 8 months. I could tell it was starting to act up a bit. Like, one day I was getting some micro-spasms. Bowling just tipped it over the edge.  Its not the worst it has been. Moving around helps out. I just need to do some PT.

      Day 52: 2/3/2025 I actually forgot to post yesterday even though I did some good stuff. That's my second miss since the streak started, but I think by the rules I'm okay.  Today I got to the range and worked my way through the bag. The range was crowded so I wasn't able to grab any video, maybe tomorrow. I'd like to send some to Yoda as I have another lesson with him the end of next week.  I spent a little bit of extra time with my new PXG Mini-driver.... I like it.
