Along swing bottom, I think this is a new measurement. I guess a good way to get an idea of how flat your flat spot is. Maybe it can tell you how fat you're hitting it on mats? An expensive chunky measurement device. Don't know what TM's swing width measures.

Hard to tell the difference of how an instructor would use this measurement versus angle of attack. Maybe a bit more information? 

Most likely the radar companies are looking for any marketing advantage they can over each other. Whether its useful or not is irrelevant.

Yep.

I think it could be practically useful. Generally, you want your swing bottom to be like a U. Not a V. If it is a V, the V will transition to an O, then a U if you get better. The radius gives you an exact measure of this.
