Many are a bit tired from binge watching the Masters. This tournament is a good place to overcome the disappointment of a poor Masters performance. It also give the non-Masters players a chance to beat a tired field.

Yeah it has that feel of the NFL Pro Bowl when they held it the week after the Super Bowl.  I'll probably watch some of it since it's Brysons debut as a pro with his new Cobra irons and wedges.

I've been really bored with this season of golf, but The Masters changed all that. Actually looking forward to the RBC Heritage.

Outside of the Majors the RBC is probably in the top five of golf events I enjoy watching. Good, old school course with character and short enough that it brings some different guys into the mix.

Luke "Where do you go to my lovely" Donald is leading this thing?!

This stuff with Villegas is interesting. I'd be pushing for a drop as much as I could as well!

Currently focusing on: Key 4 - shorter backswing.

A couple of other things spring to mind:

  1. For my eye, Bill Haas needs longer irons or to stand up more. It just looks wrong.
  2. Day taking a 5 iron on a 183 yard hole makes me happy; that's what I'd take :-)
  3. I'm glad to see Luke Donald leading; he's been away from the leaderboards for too long.

I haven't watched anything from the RBC yesterday, but I'm studying the leaderboard right now. Does anyone know, why the average driving distance was so short? Is the course so short or tight that the guys are not hitting driver so often, or is it because of the conditions? It makes me feel kinda good so see these numbers :D

Well, I think they said Jason Day (not necessarily the barometer that one should use) only pulled out driver twice yesterday so I'm guessing it's a shorter course.

Jason Day now with a share of the lead at halfway,Luke 1 behind.

He hit driving iron on his first two holes 10 & 11 in 'jacket weather' and carried both about 254 yards. Yikes!

Harbor Town is not only shorter, but has much narrower playing corridors than the average Tour stop. Players are bound to have tree problems if they stray off-line, so accuracy is at a premium on this course. (Mind you, Davis Love has won five times on this course, so it's good to have power in reserve.)

It's a nice-looking course and good to see players having to work hard to get into position on the holes, especially the par fives. A very good watch post-Augusta. I'm rooting for Luke out of sheer patriotism and hope that he gets back close to where he was three years ago...

What happened to Day?  Was leading but just got home and flipped it on, haven't seen him and he's nowhere on the leaderboard

Luke Donald leads after three rounds. Luke's been rather snake-bitten at the Heritage: he's never won this tournament, but he's finished runner-up on three occasions. We'll see if he changes his luck at Harbor Town, and the state of his game in general, tomorrow. Last week, he didn't get into the field at a major for the first time since 2004; a victory would do a lot to amend that scenario for the next 12 months.

He shot 79,now at 2 over.

Zach Johnson and Branden Grace 3 off the lead,Charley Hoffman 1 behind,I like Hoffman he always comes across as a genuine honest guy during his interviews, struggles at the weekends, maybe he'll get it together this time.

Will be cheering for LUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUKE!!! tomorrow.

Good day from Luke and it's great to see him playing well - his scrambling was superb yesterday and his iron play looks more solid than it has in years. Would love to see him grab a win, but Charley has played some great stuff and could definitely go low. Again, it's a nice course and good to see the huge focus on accuracy around there.
