I dont follow golfΒ allΒ that closely to make a good guess. But a lot of the press seem to be high on that DeChambeau kid. US Am champ and played well at the Masters. He does things his own way, and when players get that far with their own methods, it usually meansΒ he's a natural talent. Not just a swing machine.Β

Brooks K? Bud C?

I'd include Koepka, DeChambeau, and maybe Martin Piller in there (he's had some recent good form). Also Grillo has been playing very well after earning his card.

And 'next' would be like 5-10 years off. The current names have spent a bit of time earning their lasting rep already and these new guys will have to do the same.

I think Koepka has a good game. He will win and contend in the very near future. my .02

On the ladies' side Jutanyagarn is on quite a streak.

I think once Cheyenne Knight of Alabama goes pro she'll be nearly unstoppableΒ

Nobody we know of yet, it's going to take a while, golf needs to reset, I'll give it another 10-20 years and then we'll probably see a new phenom.

Certainly not Bryson DeChambeau, he may win some events someday but he's not marquee, sorry Cobra Puma.

As far as recent steady play I forgot to add Kevin Kisner.

For sheer potential, probably need to add Tony Finau too. He's the next Bubba even if he doesn't score as consistently and he broke into the tour much earlier.

Justin Thomas.

He has the distance to keep up with the power game that is today. He is good friends with Jordan and Rickie so once he gets his breakthrough win, everyone will add him to the young stars list. He needs to get better around and on the greens, but once he get a good win in America, he will be a household name.

I do like Koepka. Seems to keep an even keel and have a nice game off the tee.

DeChambeau is a big of an enigma. He comes off as a giant maniac and sometimes overthinking the game can just absolutely ruin a player, other times (VJ and others) it can lead to a tremendous career.

John Rahm and Harold Varner throwing their names in the hat with recent strong play.

Rahm's game is quite impressive I must say. He's got a lot of competitive fire and a good attitude at the same time; really like that in a player.Β

Jon Rahm ................When I watch him swing, it brings back reflections of Arnold Palmer, the way he attacks the ball. Plus that "damn the torpedos, full speed ahead" attitude.........He's going to be interesting to watch............Β

A lot of the guys mentioned are good players, but I just don't see them getting to the level of a Rory, Jordan or Jason. I think those three guys are gonna stay at the top for a while now.Β

Patrick Rodgers and Ollie Schneiderjans are having tough years, but I think they have the potential in them. My issue with Koepka is putting. He may be more like DJ in that he needs to spend some time working on his short game before he breaks through with a major.Β

I like Gerina Piller for the coming year. She's steadily climbed up the ranks even though the LPGA field has been getting deeper and deeper with talent.

She barely made the Olympic team, but put on a great run at a medal.

Agree - lots of talent out there but nobody has caught my attention as a future super-star.Β  Lots of potential, though.Β  The guy about whom I am most curious at the moment?Β  Jon Rahm.Β

I'd like to see Sadlowski do some big things . .I don't know if it will happen . .I guess odds are against it . .but he's got the length (obviously).Β

It would be cool to see Sadlowski on the tv playing on the tour. Has there ever been other long drive competitors who've successfully made the transition?

Thomas Pieters has everythingΒ to be a future (super)star in golf. If he can avoid the occasional blow-up / horrible round such as 11th hole during The Open, 3rd day at the Olympics, ... he will get there.Β
