I'm likely somewhere around a 17-20 handicap. I've never actually held one, but plan on starting next season. I think the difference between myself and a 10 handicap is huge, and if I was asked, I'd say ball-striking was likely the biggest factor. 

 

Fast forward to tonight as I go through the GG insights...and I see this little gem...

 

Approach and off the tee I'm almost dead on with a 10 handicap, and my short game is killing me. I always thought my short game was decent for a 20, and my driver and irons killed me. Data says otherwise lol

The Internet Adjustment Formula:
IAD = ( [ADD] * .96 + [EPS] * [1/.12] ) / (1.15)
 
IAD = Internet Adjusted Distance (in yards)
ADD = Actual Driver Distance (in yards)
EPS = E-Penis Size (in inches)

FWIW, GAME GOLF consistently shows high strokes "lost" putting values. I charted a round of one of my players this weekend. GG said he lost 4.79 strokes putting to a scratch golfer. Comparing the player to PGA Tour numbers says he lost… 3.13 strokes putting.

Those 1.66 strokes are even larger when you remember you're comparing a PGA Tour player to a scratch golfer (by comparing them to the same player).

GG's putting stats are suspect. @RandallT and I continue to talk with them about it.

Is your comparison to "total rounds played" or are you showing stats for a single round/comparison?

Yes. GG says the I lose strokes to a 10 handicap primarily in Approach shots (which I believe) and a close second in Putting (which I don't believe).

Thanks, and it's interesting to see that others have the same type of putting data.

This is cool because I just look at the comparison v scratch, but looking at the 10 HC makes me feel a bit better about my game.
