So, I was just playing around online the other day and spotted these cowboy boot golf shoes. I think they are awesome and I would rock them. I wear boots all the time I could probably out run most people in my boots. I was reading that Justin made them in 2014, I cant find them for sale anymore. One website was saying there were selling for like 400 which is outta my price range but If they hovered around 150, I probably would buy them. What do you all think about boots on the golf course? If they were better priced would you wear them? I feel most people are going to be against it. Think about if you saw beef out there playing in boots I think it would be cool to see.

Kind of makes the Puma hightops Rickie wears look normal.

All it needs is a matching Footjoy 10 gallon golf hat!

I'm no expert, but I do own one pair of cowboy boots ... they are not exactly what I'd call "athletic" shoes.  The only things I own that go on my feet that would be more restrictive to my golf swing would be my ski boots.

No boots, but I would wear flip flops or sandals with soft spikes or tread. They probably already make them, but I've never bothered to look it up.

fwiw, the shoe pictured in my avatar is one I bought on-line from the UK. I had found an old pair of wing tip Hi Tec at a local thrift shop and were the most comfortable I've ever had and thought I would try something modern. I loved the look of these. Unfortunately, the quality these days is nowhere near the originals. The sole is separating from one, the heel from the other. They still look good, so I will try to get some "shoe goop" from the local Home Depot and try to salvage them.

Yes, they have made them for several years now. Don't think I could do it ,sandals maybe but it's just not me. Flip flops oh hell no.

well,. maybe flip flops is going a bit too far, but I sometimes will step out in the back yard without changing and hit a few into the cage. Other times, barefoot (I have artificial turf). Not recommended when sun is up, that stuff gets scorching hot!

Oh boy!!! I hope they do!!! People start "rockin" cowboy anything on the golf course and I might finally be able to quit golf once and for all.

Please don't step in my line if you're rockin' cowboy boots.

Carry on my wayward drive

There'll be pars when you are done

Lay your weary wedge to rest

Don't you shank no more

    • Day 80: a bunch of mirror work ole watching Michigan lose. Working on grip and downswing feels.
    • Day 5 - 2024-10-05 Hit some somewhat soft pitching wedges. The outside and inside, particularly the outside of the left thumb where my right hand goes on it, is still pretty sore. I don't think I'll do more damage, but I'm reluctant to do too much because I don't want to compensate or alter my motion.
    • Day 156 (05 Sep 24) - Played new to me course today, it’s near our beach place and have been wanting to play it for a couple of years now.  It’s a neat Par 70 that plays just over 6k from the tips, played the whites 5,500 +/-.  Tight fairways and severely undulating greens made for some great shot strategy.  Wound up with an even 80 that included two lost ball penalties.  Putter was solid - 28 total.  Wedge play kept the pars happening - 6 of the 9 pars were up and downs.  Not bad for the first time on a new course.
